32bit java can load mods fine, but when I upgrade to 64 bit no mods can load and I cant play anything, please help

When I'm trying to play pixelmon mainly, the 32bit java can load and run it, but not as well as I would like so when I try upgrading to 64bit for the increased RAM cap, the game doesnt even get past the loading screen and crashes.
