I think you're going to have to get hold of 1.4.7 of Big Dig from someone, they should really have an option on the pack area but they appear not to. If they don't give the option to use the old version, like Tekkit Classic does, they'll kill their own mod pack.

As a mod developer, I have released my mod under the MIT license, meaning you do not have to get permission to include in a pack. I am not fully certain of the relavent copyright laws. That being said, it's a simple matter of respect. If a mod developer has asked to be asked about people using their work, you can take the time to contact them politely. After all, the last thing you want to do is fuel the fire of DRM.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I do agree that technic can't police the modpack list. This is in response to luke.
Didn't SOPA get shot down? Wasn't it due to it also being a piece of shit and anyone who backs it needing to be as far away from a position of power as possible?

I've considering banning BuildCraft Pipes, as I know it's possible to do pretty much everything using other mods.
God I love AE.So far, haven't really run into anything yet that is too overpowered or server breaking. Chunk loaders could be abused and cause a lot of server strain, so maybe limiting those in some way or banning them all together is reasonable. Although that does make some setups (piping lava from the nether to the overworld, or running quarries in MystCraft ages) much more difficult if not unreasonable.
Why would you ban build craft pipes?
Ignore his suggestion to ban pipes, it's a horrid one.

IC2 was a great sink for all resources....UU matter OP. So....glad we have 8mil cobblestone with nothing to do with it
Turn it into obsidian, use a minium stone, build something with it, try actually looking at what it can be used for.

I'd also reccoment mo creatures. Flying ostritches are pretty fun. Also try changing the size of your GUI Scale in video setting to fix overlap between NEI and other stuff.
Big reason to not use Mo'Creatures. Ogres.

I considered joining, then I saw something stupid, you ban the tinker table.
Why? Why would you ban modular power suits? Does the idea of not needing to carry a sword incase of mobs offend you? Is it the ability to not need to make another pick? It just seems like a weird item to ban.

I don't want to spend hours on an AE system. If this was IC2 I'd do it in a heartbeat since there is a simple input/output and I wouldn't need to add machienes constantly to keep up with a quarry.
If I was to use that AE system each Mechinece would need it's own input/ double output, then it would require massive amounts of space since AE doesn't connect to multiple mechs at one time and it takes 1 block of space.
Easily it's easier to use iron pipes and the Interface to automatically send the ingots to the system.
Wondering if there is an inverse version of the Interface though.
And thus the OP proved he is also an asshole. An also who can no spell and double posts.

With a buggy version not meant for the general public to use.

Congrats? You find the buggy builds they don't release because they aren't done. Seriously, get over it, it hasn't had a finished update since 1.4.5, chances it it won't for 1.5.anything, or at this rate 1.6, or 1.7, IC2 seems to pretty much be dead.
You argument seems to be "I find the unfinished buggy versions!" and acting like that matters.

I'd say when the last update good enough for public release was 1.4.5 it's dead.
What's going on now is people dragging the corpse around and pretending it's alive, like Weekend at Bernies only they actually believe he isn't dead instead of just trying to convince others.
