How much tekkit uses for limited data caps
jojomoep replied to Josiah's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
The data volume tekkit uses is very varying. To see how much data tekkit uses just press F3 all the info you need is in there. If that doesn't help, there are many Freeware Network Traffic meters to download those will show and count the allover traffic and the traffic a certain program uses. -
/remove items -1 Removes all drops on your map.

I am running tekkit on a 1,6Ghz Singlecore with 1,5gb ram and 128mb shared memory GPU, with 10-20 Frames, on the lowest settings though. Still i doubt your computer is slower then my dinosaur laptop. Just tweak the video and perfomance options a bit.

Retroactively Removing Items (Anchors).
jojomoep replied to Frequenter's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Depending on how big your map is, you could use Worldedit to replace the item id with air. But depending on the serverspeed i wouldnt do it on a global command use a radius for your actions, and you might be able to fix your problem pretty fast. -
i don't get you. If you have a full understadnign of how to use frames, whats your problem to make a plane or something then?

Maybe its your server running n 0 TPS

Other people can't connect to my tekkit server?
jojomoep replied to Ben Zen's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
When you leave the ip blank it will take your highest priority network controller. So just get the Hamachi controller on highest priority and you should be fine with a blank ip info. -
So in fact you want to disable EE and all renewable energy generation + nerf the other energy generation? And redstone engines? And Block-breakers? And Frames? And Computercraft? That's an interresting idea... In then end you just force people to build huge machines to get energy. Like Combustion arrays hooked up to an engine generator (if you dont disable them too) that will start lagging the server pretty fast. Imho, it's a good idea to nerf some stuff, for example the solars, they are just too op but you can't limit the players too much. With all the stuff you want to disable there is no real sense of trying to build anything even half advanced machines wich is the sense of tekkit.

To be honest i think its not really possible to run a kind of economy on a tekkit server. Even with disabled or very limited EE. In the end UU-Matter has the same impact to the economy as collecters, relays, condensers have. You can pretty much get everything you need - more then you need out of uu matter and your matter production will exponecially grow. And your point of "there are items with no UU matter recipes for" doesnt really count for me, cause its pretty much only leather, uranium and enderpearls. Uranium, you dont really need it there are lots of ways to get energy even faster, cheaper and with less effort. Leather, do you even need it? Enderpearls, you dont really need them in high ammounts and if you got some armor and good weapons, you can just go to the end for some minutes to get them. In the end the exponetial growing of the UU gain will destroy any sense of trading, cause no one really needs something that he cant produce by himself. Economies in tekkit are just not possible cause everyone has the access to the same recources, there is no way to specialise on someting and try to sell stuff. For example, lets say how it is in reallife, there is someone who can make bread, another one who builds machines and another one whobuilds houses. In Minecraft/Tekkit its just that everyone can do everything. So you dont need to worry about buying bread from someone else, cause in the end its just a few clicks away. Or you won't hire someone to build a house for you cause where would be the fun living in someone elses stuff. Really the only thing that you could actually sell in tekkit is knowledge and even that is limited, pretty much everyone knows the basics. The only knowledge you might be able to sell is about, lua programming on cc, or setting up logic gates setups. And even those two things are explaind a thousand times on wikis, youtubes or other stuff all over the internet. In the end tekkit economy will not be more then "i give you 10 iron for a stack of rubber".

The Energy link is pretty bugged, it will take 72eu/t even on LV and even through copper cable. So you cant really limit the ammount of energy a Energy Link takes.

"Energy-O-Mat" or, selling EU to players.
jojomoep replied to LloydA's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I was thinking about that too, but its pretty hard to emit a redstone signal out of a tube or a filter to capture when it got input. Thats why i use the BC pipes, works pretty good and easy to set up. Only Contra for those are that you cant accept stacks, cause the redstone pipe doesnt change its behavior if 1 item or a item stack of xItems crosses it. -
Did it start after having more players on the server or is it the same with a low amount of active players? If everyone else except you is having lag it might be your internetconnection maxed out.

On my server i built a charging station selling 100k eu. I set it up so a item has to be thrown into a obsidian pipe. It gets checked in a Diamond pipe if right item put in goes through a redstone pipe activating a statecell-> activating a EU-Splitter cable to transmit power to a charging bench. HV Array -> mfsu -> Splitter cable -> Mfsu -> Charging Bench ----------------------------- State Cell /\ Redstone Pipe -------------- Chest | Diamond Pipe ---------Stone Pipe (wrong item Output) | Obsidian Pipe (Input) Ill post a picture of it if you want once im home. -
Bad login has most likely something to do with your minecraft account. Can you join a vanilla server via the original Minecraft client.? Make sure your account is not logged in somewhere else. Make sure you are not in offline mode on the launcher or minecraft.
