  1. The fixes are simple drop-in replacements for existing files. Based on this post by DarthDavis. Contains both client and server fixes. Both must be applied or the universe will explode. Really simple of course, but I thought I might be able to make this critical bug a bit quicker/easier for people to fix.
  2. Re: Bugs found in Tekkit 2.0 Made some simple drop-in file replacements implementing the above changes. Attached. Both client and server must have these applied or the universe will explode.
  3. The game randomly crashed to desktop while I was playing on a survival multiplayer server. The server was set up by my nephew and he didn't make any unusual changes to the default server settings as far as I know. We were alone on the server and we'd been playing for about 45 minutes or so when it crashed. It only crashed on my computer, not his. The server and client were running simultaneously on his computer, a Core 2 Duo E8400 (3 GHz) with 8 GB of DDR2 RAM. The server continued to run normally after my client crashed. Neither of us were doing anything out of the ordinary and we weren't using cheats. We were basically just playing regular Minecraft but with lots of extra items courtesy of Tekkit. The server wasn't a converted world or anything of that nature, it was freshly created for the purpose of us playing together today. He was running Tekkit Server 2.0 alongside Minecraft 1.1 with Tekkit 2.0, and I was running Minecraft 1.1 with Tekkit 2.0. My computer is a Core i7 (Sandy Bridge) 2600K with the maximum multiplier set to 42 (4.2 GHz effective top speed) with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. My system is stable under Prime95 and if you're familiar with Sandy Bridge CPUs, you'll know it's a fairly conservative overclock. The crash came without any sort of warning and I don't remember there being an error message. It happened either while I was crafting a couple of wooden pressure plates or while I was in the process of storing these wooden pressure plates in a chest, I forget which. Probably the latter but I can't say for sure. It could also possibly have been while I was moving the newly-crafted wooden pressure plates into my inventory. I've attached a ZIP containing the following: - The error log that appeared on my desktop immediately after the crash (same folder as TechnicLauncher-0.2.exe) - The only log file I found in the "appdata\roaming\.techniclauncher\logs" folder - My options.txt file (in case it's something specific to my settings) After the crash I immediately reconnected and we continued to play for at least another hour or so without incident before he had to go to bed and we both quit normally.
