[3.0.3/3.0.4] Machine Block Orientation in tekkit 3.0.3
GokouZWAR replied to thebad300's question in Tekkit Classic
"If you'd like to suggest this as a true solution, please provide detailed instructions on how to do this. Thanks." I'm sorry, next time I won't use please and thanks in my response to you. Clearly you don't deserve that kind of response... No. What you gave me was a link to something that was not the answer to my question. Don't get all high and mighty with me. Your "help" was no help at all. A link to a wiki response as to why they haven't updated to r4 yet would have been far more helpful since that's the question I asked. I merely wanted to know what the reasoning was behind the fact that they haven't already done it. If something was stopping them from doing it or if it was a lack of time to do it and they haven't got around to it, or maybe there was some back end development version that was in the works that I could use instead was all I wanted to know. What you gave me was a "shut the hell up" or "if you think you can do better do it yourself" response to a valid suggestion. I was not rude with my requests nor my statements. I stated the facts and asked a question. You responded rudely to it. That is the reason I responded to you in kind. This was not my thread initially. I was merely stating I had the same problem as others and I was offering up a suggestion to the authors for a solution. I even offered up some suggestions that I had tried to use to fix it as well to the initial author which didn't help him. If I knew how to update tekkit myself I wouldn't have posted here as a suggestion, i would have linked my repository for the author and said "here, use this version of the server software and see if it helps you." So, how do I do that? -
no responses here? Anyone aware of this already at least?

Could not pass block break event to towny
GokouZWAR replied to GokouZWAR's question in Tekkit Classic
I suppose I should also note that the quarry runs fine. I am able to make it work and operate. Just that each time the quarry breaks a block it spams the error posted above and makes my server.log file epic huge in a very short period of time. It gets really crazy when people are running multiple quarries and makes reading the server log file next to impossible with all the spam in it. -
Could not pass block break event to towny
GokouZWAR replied to GokouZWAR's question in Tekkit Classic
BTW, this did not work. I talked with the developers for towny, he does not have these users in the ops.txt and it works fine for him. I have even done a full reset of my server back to base tekkit with only towny and I still get this. I was informed by the towny people it was due to the fact that the fake users were not created properly. How do I fix that part? The towny guys suggested I try to obtain a new version of buildcraft's config file or something? Maybe buildcraft needs to be updated as well? I'm not sure how to update a mod. I've done plugins before but not mods. Any help would be appreciated. -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] Machine Block Orientation in tekkit 3.0.3
GokouZWAR replied to thebad300's question in Tekkit Classic
I've been stewing over this response since last week...how exactly does this help me? What do I do with the updated bukkit files to update Tekkit? This response seems to be more or less a "If you don't like it you can suck my dick" kind of response. If you'd like to suggest this as a true solution, please provide detailed instructions on how to do this. Thanks. -

Could you repost in English please? I have no idea what this is and you aren't doing justice to the post by speaking whatever the hell that is... -
[3.0.3/3.0.4] Machine Block Orientation in tekkit 3.0.3
GokouZWAR replied to thebad300's question in Tekkit Classic
Bukkit has done 3 updates since the current tekkit was released. What's stopping Tekkit to update to the lastest version of bukkit? All the plugins so far work fine with the current tekkit version so I don't understand why tekkit can't as well. I think a lot of bugs (including heads being misoriented on characters) would be fixed with a simple rebuilt of the latest tekkit build to the current R4 release for bukkit. -
note this is for the raw ores in the walls or placed. You CAN get nikkolite ore from the list in creative mode just fine. It just seems to break when you use the middle click selection option in creative mode.
-
Title: Creating nikkolite ores Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Win 7 Java Version: 7.5 Description of Problem: When in creative mode, if you middle click nikkolite ores in a multiplayer server to generate the item, it corrupts your player.dat file and messes up NEI on your client to the point where you cannot use NEI anymore and you're required to reinstall the entire client. Addtionally you have to get the server admin to delete your player.dat file and you lose all your items as it doesn't appear to be recoverable. Error Messages: None that I can see it just crashes my client and gives me the white screen of death. Error Log:

Could not pass block break event to towny

I detect a bit of "this was said in some readme file" in your post...is there some kind of reference that I should know about that would have told me to do this? -

[3.0.3/3.0.4] Machine Block Orientation in tekkit 3.0.3
GokouZWAR replied to thebad300's question in Tekkit Classic
Did you create the world in pre-tekkit load? I have the problem ONLY in my flat world that was created before i loaded Tekkit in it. I created a new flat world and it didn't have the issue. One thing that might be a possibility at least to me, that if you're loading tekkit onto an exisiting vanilla map load, it will have this issue. Thoughts? -
Title: Could not pass block break event to towny Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Linux (i think, hosted by beastnode) Java Version: Unknown on the server, assumed java 7 i can confirm it if nessessary Description of Problem: Basically whenever a quarry passes over a block to break i get the error messages listed below. I talked with the towny guys on what could be causing this, they said that it appears to be due to the fact that tekkit is not properly creating the buildcraft fake player. I checked for the buildcraft player but it's not in the system at all. The quarry seems to work fine (i had to disable all build checks on nocheat to stop the spam). Main problem doesn't appear that it's not working or anything, it's just spams the console and makes my server.log fat as hell. Error Messages: http://www.pastie.org/4160578 - Buildcraft config file http://www.pastie.org/4160550 - Error I'm receiving Error Log: see above pasties
-
Ok well i didn't do anything at all, but somehow magically it started working again...no idea. I am having other issues now but i think I'll let this thread die and start a new one as they're not related to my client but the server now...
-
like i said no one else seems to be having issues like mine...When i started the tekkit setup, all the players lost everything they had on them. It's simple enough to clear everyone's .dat file and let em whine. I really don't care much. They've been doing things they shouldn't be anyway.
-
yeah i'm the server operator...so you're saying my error is server side? What happens when another user has issues like that?
-
where's that at? I searched but didn't find anything in the .techniclauncher directory named that.
-
Everyone else can open chests...I can't even open crafting tables...I can open my inventory just fine tho...
-
I don't suppose AVG causes this too? I'm trying to open up some player's chest and it does the animation for the arm and then the screen goes white and shuts down the client. This shows up in the error log: [10:04:28] [sEVERE] java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor21.invoke(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at Reflector.callVoid(Reflector.java:131) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at vl.a(RenderBlocks.java:6293) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at tw.a(RenderItem.java:270) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at tw.a(RenderItem.java:389) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at gb.a(GuiContainer.java:196) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at gb.a(GuiContainer.java:114) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at lr.b(EntityRenderer.java:1103) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at EntityRendererProxy.b(EntityRendererProxy.java:21) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.x(Minecraft.java:869) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:747) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at eloraam.core.RenderContext.setSideUV(RenderContext.java:212) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at eloraam.core.RenderContext.doMappingBox(RenderContext.java:238) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at eloraam.core.RenderContext.renderFaces(RenderContext.java:1106) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at eloraam.wiring.RenderRedwire.renderInvBlock(RenderRedwire.java:241) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at mod_RedPowerCore.renderInvBlock(mod_RedPowerCore.java:124) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at ModLoader.renderInvBlock(ModLoader.java:1597) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] ... 14 more [10:04:28] [sEVERE] java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor21.invoke(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at Reflector.callVoid(Reflector.java:131) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at vl.a(RenderBlocks.java:6293) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at tw.a(RenderItem.java:270) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at tw.a(RenderItem.java:389) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at gb.a(GuiContainer.java:196) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at gb.a(GuiContainer.java:114) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at lr.b(EntityRenderer.java:1103) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at EntityRendererProxy.b(EntityRendererProxy.java:21) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.x(Minecraft.java:869) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:747) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) [10:04:28] [sEVERE] Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Already tesselating! I also did as you advised and disabled AVG, i was able to reinstall the client, but it still did this anyway so this clearly isn't related to AVG...Maybe related to EE? someone has an EE item in the chest maybe and it's crashing my client?
-
lovely, does this cause my client to crash just for opening a chest? Also i want to disable EE from my server cuz people are taking the stone and making entire chunks of land into sand or stone or whatever...i just dont' want that in the server at all. I deleted the .zip from the mods folder and rebooted the server but it still shows EE items in the list, whenever i try to use those items or move them to my inventory it crashes my client. How do i PROPERLY remove it because clearly I haven't done it right...
-
AVG. It's been working fine up till today. Never had a lick of problems out of it. I had to grab a version off my son's computer to get it working and even then it wouldn't connect to minecraft.net and was wanting to run in offline mode only.
