What server hosters support Tekkit?

Ah, useless to me then. I like full access rather than automated systems. Too many restrictions. -

^- Sounds great and all, but does it support SSH ? -
*shudders* Oh the horrid memories -.- I know man... i definitely know about betrayal When i mean friend, i mean like be comfortable talking to the mods/admins and be able to give them jobs/tasks but also stay friendly and nice with them. Play some occasional side games. Doesn't have to be just minecraft. Avoid best friends sorta of situation. It can really mess up the relationship and it will be a bitch to get over and bleh. Keep it like a friendly workplace environment. (These tips apply for anywhere, not just minecraft)

Also if you want professional admins (Like people who know linux like the back of their hand and can properly fix/script/code anything needed for the server you might even have to pay them) I Left my previous admin place because it's A LOT of work and it is very time consuming. It just wasn't worth it. Anyway, listen to Moogle, Beer, and me. You want to get to know the people your promoting. and know them via skype and have a decent friendship sort of thing with them. Otherwise they could care less about you and your server. The reason we're telling you is because we have all gone through this and I know how it ends up. IT'S NOT THE ROAD YOU WANT TO GO DOWN!

I don't see how java is restricted to 1 gb ram on 32bit, I'm pretty sure you're fine upto 4gb on 32bit. Also Linux is godly stable on 32 but 64 can be a power house if you can take advantage of it. EDIT: oh yes also another thing to keep your eye on is to ask how much ram it has and if its DDR2 or DDR3. If you can get DDR3 w/ 3 Gb ram Your good to go 4gb ram is even better! -
MC Pro Hosting How To Install HELP ME PLEASE
SuperXElite replied to Mr Munch's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
What happened to the good old hosts where you had SSH access and had to install things like Java and and customize everything manually but correctly? Now days its way too restrictive. Atleast they should have a check box thats like "Allow ssh access or Basic server" -

*Bro hoof* at the bronies here ;P -
Dear god... Do you people not ever use google? seriously... Do you realize that Worldguard has a whole section dedicated for blacklisting items. and even better, can automatically kick/ban them upon placing the object. Your not ready yet to create a server, just play with it and learn. it takes time. also if you have noticed there are plenty of stickies that if you bothered to read for 30 seconds they would probably fix your problem.

Equivalent Exchange Missing In 3.1.0(Development)
SuperXElite replied to KKABCD's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Bam! right on the spot! exactly one of the other main issues with EE. It renders other mods useless in the sense that you have to work for the hard materials. But with EE you can just make about everything in the game within 1 - 2 days including IC and more.. -

My opinion on the largely discussed mod and about it being kept or not is in no way representing my personality or who i am as you've stated "It shows overweening self-concern and an inability to function in society." In fact it shows why a lot of people live miserable lives because of bullies; people who yell or hurt others without good reason and just for their own pure pleasure AKA Trolls. Also I have removed it from my server, and have left a simple auto message explaining the reason it was removed. The only reason I mentioned that players bitch at admins was because retards create "grief" teams to prove why it was a bad idea to remove it but, it just gives me more reason to never enable it and also ban them. You also stated "is just infuriating to me" I understand that everyone can get very angry and frustrated at points but that's no reason to explode and take it out on people you have never met before. There is no right or wrong. The removal of this is just a matter of opinion, not an answer. You do bring a good point and it does make more sense to keep it, but just the admins that don't support it can remove it. and i DEFINITELY agree with refining. The mod has gone a long way but its still too unbalanced for regular use. It takes way too much time for admins to setup and fine tune everything at this point so its just better to wait a bit so that it's a lot more stable. -
I think it means not enough free ram for java to create a virtual work space.
