Are you still having an issue? before you update, disable AVG temporarily by right-clicking the tray Icon and selecting "Temporarily disable avg" and select at least 10 min, then open the launcher and go through the update process. I'm not sure if any of the jerks above have any Idea that AVG is a big douche to the updater. But it would help if THEY had noticed you had an anti-virus program at all, and maybe would have suggested this.

All I know is there were lots of people complaining that 3.1.1 was the ONLY download link and most people feel more comfertable starting with simple cut RB, client and server aligned! untill 3.1.1 is RB it should be listed above the RB build as DEV, on the front page. and no, not everyone is smart enough to read everything possible before downloading and attempting an upgrade when they are used to what we might call "tool tips" or "summaries" next to the links. You all do great work and I love it. You all have obviously done everything you can to appease everyone, and I'm sure no matter how people react they appreciate it. I'm just trying to make a valid suggestion, and hope you only take it that way. And I hope anyone who reads this can see both sides of the issue here before becoming a follower of the whining.

I'd very much like that link too.. i have to side with the whiners.. on your front page there was no clear mention that 3.1.1 was not a recommended build and there is NO link whatsoever to the recommended build. Stop making excuses for leaving some people feeling screwed.

Roman: on the client window to the left is where you select the mod set.. for instance tekkit.. on the right at the bottom theres an option button... this will allow you to manually choose what version you prefer.. some servers are runnin developer/beta versions. if that is the case, chose manual vers selection and in the drop down chose the latest developer build.. after it updates, if it still doesnt work, check with the people running the server. they will more than likely be the ones who will help with this issue

seriously are people just building up a trend of not giving 2 shits about people? is anyone gonna do anything or is this another abandoned project..?

ALSO sometimes when it apears to work fine, i get "bad login" everytime i try to connect to a server... the client works just fine and i can play after opening and closing it about 20 times
