  1. Sup again! Humm.. I don't have much experience with that launcher. I normally use the TechnicLauncher, not the Technic(pack)Launcher (Not sure why they don't have different names). If you look at the left-hand menu of the websie, it should be listed there as version 1.0.1.3 Direct path is: For the EXE: http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/TechnicLauncher.exe For the JAR: http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/technic-launcher-latest.jar For the OSX: http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/Technic-Launcher-OSX.zip
  2. Me as well. It will ''sometimes'' work, so either try again or wait it out. Could be a temporary problem.
  3. Note: Don't lose the old version. Make a copy of it. ---- Have you tried to download an use the latest version of the launcher 1.0.1.3 ? You get it from the Technic Pack website.
  4. Adding java to your system path: Open the Start menu Right-click ''Computer'' and click ''Properties'' Select ''Advanced system settings'' and find the ''Environmental Variavles'' button at the bottom. Click it In the bottom frame scroll down till you find a ''Variable'' called ''Path''. Double click this Press the [End] key on your keyboard and add this to the end: ;C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\lib If done correctly, you should be able to use this command in CMD (You should actually try this FIRST to see if it's not working already...): java -version It should look something like this: C:\Users\Rainbow>java -version java version "1.7.0_05" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_05-b05) Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.1-b03, mixed mode) Please note, this only applies if you have the 64-bit version of java7 installed. Check to see which version you got by going to the "Uninstalled programs" thing in Control Panel. It should list which version if Java you got installed there. The '';'' symbol separates each path. Some also state that you need something called a ''Class path'' but i've never needed it myself...
  5. Hey bro, Sorry to hear about this hack-stuff. The internet can be so cruel sometimes! I suggest you hop on over to minecraft.net (the guys who handle your account) and go to the Log in page. From there request that they send you a new password to your email. That should sort out your issues right now. Good luck! Also, the launcher doesn't leak passwords. That's not how it works. Know you're frustrated and all, but maybe you should consider changing your password to something different from now on. It might be one that is easy to guess by ''hackers''.
  6. Ick. Well then i'm at a loss. It did help me at least. If this issue is serverside then the awesome technicguys will have it sorted out asap. :3 Guess the best thing is to wait it out then? Stalk the forums, the right thread might pop up (or exists already, give it a look-through).
  7. Okay, double post here. Whenever I edit an OP it just duplicates. Even if I try to remove the dupe-content. >_> Just a heads-up.
  8. Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 (latest recommended build) Operating System: Windows 7, 64-bit, English Java Version: Java 7 Update 5 Antivirus Program: The newest TechnicLauncher presents a variety of issues: 1) Launcher startup takes ''forever'' - somewere around a minute or so 2) Launching the TechnicLauncher results in a crash of the updater module. See log below. 3) Sometimes the web-based contents inside the launcher does not load properly 4) Mod downloads can sometimes fail - - - 1) When you start the launcher, it appears as if nothing is happening and it takes somewhere close to a minute before *anything* happens. This is most likely a result of point #2. 2) When the launcher finally starts, you're presented with an error message from Windows itself. The error log is posted below as ''Error for #2)''. If possible on the forums I will also include a screenshot of it, just for confirmation. This crash does NOT prevent the launcher from working, it's just a headache: Once you [Close] the error dialogue, the launcher starts as normal and you can log in etc.... 3) Sometimes the launcher does not properly display the web contents. A bunch of broken images and the infamous ''unable to connect to [...] server'' message. However the Mojang launcher from minecraft (dot) net works without any trouble. 4) If this is the first time you start the launcher (i.e. after ''reinstall'') mods can have some trouble downloading from the server. You will, in these cases, get a ''unable to connect to server'' message. I could successfully download the tekkit-mod after I waited out the ''Remaining attempts: 2''. It did continue once it could connect to the server after a while... Just strange issues that I never encountered with the old launcher and/or with JRE6. 9. Making the forums 20% cooler, one day at a time!

  10. Gotcha! Firstly you don't have to restart the *server* to use the Launcher. The launcher is the client, not the server. Secondly, I nearly tore my own mane off in frustration, having been unable to log in for the past two days. I don't know how on earth I got it working all of a sudden, but here is what I did: 1) Went to "%appdata%" (I use a 64-bit Windows 7 OS) and deleted the ".techniclauncher" folder 2) Deleted the "TechnicLauncher.exe" file and downloaded it again 3) Started up - Here I was 100% unable to do anything. It refused to connect to minecraft.net and all sorts of hell. I restarted it, selected VANILLA, logged in (and downloaded Vanilla). Vanilla starts right after. I closed it all 4) Started the launcher for the 3rd time. This time I was able to log in after selecting TEKKIT - It failed to download at first, stuck with "2 remaining attempts" but suddenly it worked again. So yeah, now it's working for me. 100% (Except the new launcher is slow as a pile of horse-poopoo. Takes ages for anything to happen and updates always fail. Always. I would HIGHLY recommend you do NOT delete the launcher if you have the old one. It's better!) EDIT: It should be enough to just delete the .tekkitlauncher folder (%appdata%) and re-download vanilla first, then tekkit. I had a bit of trouble, but eventually it just worked. I think it could be server-side (not YOUR server, the minecraft.net/technic servers) but we'll just wait and see...
  11. Hey there Ryan! :3 I've also had similar issues. I would suggest you try a couple of times. Sometimes the mod servers are a bit "wonky". Try it again after restarting the launcher entirely.
