  2. Lol... Kinda. xD; and ender pearls too? I had no idea they caused lag. They're pretty much just the player "moving". So moving around causes lag? .///. I'm so confused right now.

  4. I kinda agree with this. At least you didn't ban CC, which makes tekkit half-as-fun still... but with all those items banned (for good reason i'm sure) it's misleading. Edit: Server seems to be down... ;n;
  5. fine, fine, I was having a bit of whine with my cheese. I'll admit that. The one thing I was looking for was a computercraft server and this was like the sixth server I came across where it was banned. *Sadface* Great server, im sure, so im sorry for the negativity in my post. :3 Can't all have great days. n_n;

  7. IMO the best way to fix this is to first uninstall all versions of java (even the latest one), reboot your computer and then re-install *only* the latest version. It should find the path then. Older versions of Java (which you are guaranteed to have (plus you are saying that you use an older version in your OP: "Java Version: Java 6 update 31")) messes up the path stuff. jre7 fixed that. Even on 2008 servers. Hint: The latest version is as if writing this "Java 7, update 5 (64-bit)" *** For the love of ponies, please make sure you install the 64-bit version if you have a 64-bit OS and only the 32-bit version if you for some reason have a 32-bit OS ***

  9. I hate being lazy. HATE IT... I didn't read anything but the few first posts: If you intend to use the latest version of Java, you don't need to use the path, but only if you: 1.) Uninstall *ALL* versions of java on your system (Only Windows 7, 2008 tested), including the Java FX stuff... 2.) Re-install the latest version of Java (If you have a 64-bit system, make sure you install the 64-bit version of Java. You have to look around the site to find it... 3.) In CMD, run "java.exe" it should look something like this: C:\Users\Rainbow>java.exe Usage: java [-options] class [args...] (to execute a class) or java [-options] -jar jarfile [args...] (to execute a jar file) where options include: -d32 use a 32-bit data model if available -d64 use a 64-bit data model if available If it doesn't: Repeat step 1. *THEN REBOOT* and repeat step 2 + 3. :3 Good luck!
  10. @Jeno_ First: Your issue is not related to the thread. I recommend you make your own thread next time unless your problem is the same as OP. Secondly: Have you made sure to install the latest version of Java, as recommended by the TechnicPack website (On the Download page)? If you have, I would highly recommend to: 1) Check to make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Windows Update will usually - but not always - do this for you 2) Uninstall *ALL* version of Java (including Java FX, etc) from your system 3) RE-INSTALL the latest or recommended version of Java (See the TechnicLauncher download page) 4) Delete the ".techniclauncher" folder inside %appdata% (Run: %appdata% to get there) *** Now try to run the TechnicLauncher application again *** IF THIS DOESN'T HELP: Make a Pastebin.com account and give us links to this information: 5) Open the logfile launcher_0.txt ... AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\logs\launcher_0.txt Paste the content into Pastebin and link it to us 6) Open the "dxdiag" (Run: dxdiag) Click the "Save All Information" button and save the file on your desktop Paste the contents into a second Pastebin and link it to us Good luck!

  15. Please make new topics if you need help. Provide the logs! They're found inside the .techniclauncher folder here: C:\Users\YOUR-USER\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\logs\ The latest (newest) log is always the _0 one.
  16. Hi Mr.Toast (It's good to be back!) Firstly I can only help if you're running on a Windows computer. Preferably Windows 7. Now: Press and hold down the Windows button [WIN]. It's one of the buttons to the left of your space-bar. Now, whild you hold [WIN], press [R]: [WIN]+[R] This will bring up the "Run" dialogue. Enter the following: %appdata% and hit enter! Delete the entire launcher folder called .techniclauncher There you go. The folder will be re-downloaded when you run the launcher again. BIG NOTE: If you have any single player maps inside the launcher folder make sure to backup those before deleting.

  18. Well, have ya tried to remove Java entirely and download the latest one? 7U5 (Note that the technic website only links to U4. U4 is NOT the latest). Also, unless you need the other versions installed, remove the old versions as well before installing the latest.
  19. Well for those who still are having trouble, remember to take a look at the [Common Problems and Solutions] thread. You can also browse through the [endless stream of help threads] available from other users. Maybe somebody has the same problem as you and found a solution! Of your problem is regarding the mod itself and not the launcher, please use the appropriate forums (i.e. if your game has started and the launcher has closed): TEKKIT help threads: HERE TECHNIC help threads: HERE If nothing else helps, make a new topic yourself. Remember to include all the information they ask for. The launcher log-file is vitally important! Log: You find the log file (on a windows 7 system) like this: - Press [Win]+[R] - type '' %appdata '' into the dialogue box and hit return/enter! - Click through the folders: .techniclauncher \ logs \ The file '' launcher_0.log '' is the latest log. Copy its contents into the correct field in your new topic/report.
  20. Jikes, well then I hope somebody can come up with a better solution. All I can think of is the standard "have you tried to disable AV" etc etc.. Good luck though. I'm off to bed for the night. I really hope you find a fix for this awkward issue.
  21. As far as I know - and I am playing Tekkit right now (multiplayer version of Technic) - it definitely should support update 5. I use update 5 and the "help-me" page also recommends downloading it. Have you attempted to remove the .techniclauncher folder inside the %appdata% ? The entire thing will be re-downloaded as you start up the launcher again after doing that. I'd suggest that.
