  1. Yeah, I'm using ExtraBiomes XL. The biome to the south is from it.
  2. I was exploring random seeds, and I found this forest today, chock full of silverwood trees. It's like this for a solid 1,000 blocks away. Is this normal? I thought I read that silverwood trees were supposed to be rare-ish?
  3. You do need a wooden conductive pipe, then either cobble or gold conductive pipe. And if I read that correctly you said it goes to a teleport pipe? Do you have the second teleport pipe, the one that is receiving, set to be able to receive? To do this right click it and it will have a box that says either True of False. Set it to True. And make sure they are both on the same frequency and owned by you. EDIT: lol Air, I was typing while you were.
  4. I knew about the buckets. My confusion was a result of warpspeed stating that you could now pump lava directly into geothermals and that the mark II geothermals were now obsolete, and then saying that the water strainer was to the water mill as the mark II was to the regular geothermal. To bad, I have several ideas that I could re-purpose my three retrievers for, but oh well.
  5. Wait, so does this mean you can now pipe water directly to water mills? Instead of setting up RedPower retrievers, deployers, and filters?
  6. Screw my idea, I just found a way better idea on You Tube. HERE it is. It's worth watching till the end, past the tutorial, as he gives a brief glimpse of his personal full-blown set-up.
  7. Items can't go backwards through a filter, and if you needed to hook a few together, you could keep the tubes separate with covers in-between.
  8. I came up with a relatively simple system. It uses filters instead of retrievers, so it's a lot easier to make. The pictures are pretty self-explanatory. However, if you want to make more advanced stuff you either have to manually stock the machines or attach more tables in a row behind the main one. Then you could use repeaters to produce the basic items first, and time it so that when they reach the next crafting table there is another pulse for that table, etc.
  9. What you want to do is use a combination of Buildcraft and RedPower. Replace the redstone pipe with pneumatic tubing. Then attach a Sorting Machine to the pneumatic tubing. Then attach one piece of pneumatic tubing to the sorter. Then attach a Relay to that piece of tubing. Then attach a Buildcraft transport pipe (stone or cobblestone) to the Relay. Finally, attach the teleport pipe to the transport pipe. Now you have to set up the sorter. When you open it, it has several columns that have squares at the bottom. Clicking these squares changes their color. This let's you sort. There is also an icon in the bottom left. This changes the mode the machine operates in. Click it till a box appears under it that looks like the ones under the columns. Now to sort, put the item you want to sort in one of the columns. Then assign that column a color. Now make some paint and paint the tube where it touches a chest with that color. Those items will now go to that chest. If you color more than one chest input the same color it will fill the first chest, then move to the second. If it fills up, it will not spill items on the ground, it will just jam the sorting machine. To fix it, just make room in a chest. You will need to supply the sorting machine with bluelectric power. 2 redpower solar panels, a redpower battery box, and some blue alloy wire are all that is needed to do so. Set Up (0 is chest, = is pneumatic tubing, S is sorting machine, R is relay, - is transport pipe, and T is teleport pipe, top down view): 0000000 ======== ======== 0000000=S=R-T 0000000= ======== ======== 0000000

  11. RESOLVED I figured out my problem. And I'm feeling kinda' derpy. The problem was a result of World Guard. Turns out that a quarry built outside a region will not mine inside a region. And a quarry built inside a region will not leave the region. My problem was the latter. Thanks for the help. Someone can close this now if they want.
  12. I'd like to apologixe for spongey's comment, I'm not affiliated with him. In reply to Torezu, I'm not hitting lava. The problem seems to be the IC2 -> BC power converter. When I run a quarry with a normal combustion engine, it will run until it hits bedrock. So if anyone has a fix, that would be great news. But until then I'll do it the old-fashioned way =P
  13. I recently built a set of four buildcraft quarries. I have solar panels (10 LV) connected to a IC2 -> BC power converter that is in turn connected to my quarries. I have the quarries depositing into buffer chests that are then emptied by RP filters and sorted by RP sorting machines into chests. I also have a railcraft world anchor in there to keep it loaded. The problem is that the quarries will mine down for about 20-30 layers, then randomly quit. The mining drills are still extended and stay where they left off. The quarries are still supplied with power. I have no idea what makes them stop mining. Filters pull from buffer chests: Power line from solar panels feeding power converter, in turn powering BC quarries:
