Linux (Debian) Tutorial: setting up a Tekkit server
NizeGuy replied to ronneke1996's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Nice tutorial! It helped me a lot I have a VPS running Debian and I was wondering if there is a way to make Debian execute "launch.sh" automatically on startup/reboot? It would be a pain in the ass if I had to manually log in via ssh and start the servers every time the server reboots. Any ideas? -
Will you be able to remove the forestry mod later on and still be able to play on the same world?
-
Does not work ^^
-
Server goes into ...\server\mods ? Client goes into ...\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkit\mods ?
-
My problem is: Which version do I need for the Tekkit Server? Where do I get it? Which files do the clients need?
-
Okay. This should be the newest ported vesions of Forestry for Bukkit: http://minecraft.maeyanie.com/ I'm guessing that "forestry-1.2.6.6-b1.1R4.zip" is the latest version for Bukkit. Is it for both server and client-side?

I tried this, but I just realized I put the folder in /mods and not /plugins. Will try that.

Tried it. It doesn't work server-side. A shame.
