If you've actually played on the server, you'd realize that I unbanned them a while ago, but never got around to updating the post. And it is possible to download a virus to the server because the information is stored in the server, so anything downloaded by these computers would be stored there. It would however take a reasonable amount of skill to set up such an act, and they probably wouldn't use their skills on a game such as minecraft. That is the only reason I unbanned them. Don't go around posting your un-researched lies and make a fool out of yourself. And I don't need a valid reason to ban anything. I own this server, I make the rules.

Temp banned Allawa for 12 hours. No need for a permaban because this glitch will be completely blocked soon enough.

Resetting the map is taking a bit longer than expected. (3500 files for just the playerdata alone. Not including the essentials player data) And guys, spamming the forums with requests for me to turn the server on solves nothing. I don't randomly check the forums when I am asleep or at school. And j_q_a stop signing your posts, its a rule... Sorry about the full reset guys, but things corrupted and there were some banned items in circulation and a dupe glitch was present for a while. This map has had a good run, but its time to let it go.

Guys first off. The server is staying up. Secondly, If its whitelisted, it means there's a glitch that could potentially break the game. I will not whitelist you because its only temporary for when I'm fixing it. He believes that because there was a map save error with the server that he should receive special treatment above the other 3000 players that lost their progress in that time. When informed of this, he told us he was going to report us for unfair player treatment (How is that report coming along, by the way?). This is a griefing server, deal with the griefing yourself. Someone griefs you? Grief them back. Also, it was not our errors. Save errors are unpredictable, and can happen at any time. Want your progress to be definitely saved? Go play on singleplayer. We banned you because you repeatedly bugged the admins with the same issue and kept caps raging at us. You were delaying the process of us fixing a griefing incident right outside the spawn. First off, the game doesn't launch from a batch file. Its a professionally hosted server. /stop Only stops a server, so they wouldn't be able to restart the server, unless we could edit the batch file. As for the crash, its probably another corrupted chunk. I'll test it and then to fix it if it is.

The server was lagging due to overflow(Items spilling out of pipes) and a chunk corruption which are now both fixed. The 2 Minute temporary whitelist is also removed now. I had to let the server catch back up with itself.

The plugin we use to make VIP slots allows the server to extend slots for anyone with VIP status if the server is full. So if a Donator joins when we have 20/20, then the server will temporarily extend to 21 Slots until someone logs out, then the Donator would take their slot.

Please welcome Kiridge to the admin team. He's been an admin for The Big Trio server when it was just a bukkit server for over a year, and now he started to play again with Tekkit.

My server is experiencing the same thing. Maybe its a glitch with 3.1.2 of tekkit?

Minecraft's authentication server's are up again so the server is now in online mode again.

Someone has a lot of overflow, and I can't pinpoint who. Maybe i could try putting NoLagg back on and see if that works. Edit: May be my internet, but there is a slight possibility that Minecraft's Auth. Server's are down, so anyone who logs out can't log back in.

@Kenji, it doesn't ban then with an NPE, it just disabled the recipes on server startup. They were unbanned, perhaps your inventory is glitched? I can try deleting your player file after backing it up and see if that fixes it. Should be good to go now, I backed up your player files and deleted them from the server, see if it works now.

After a series of restarts, the memory leak should now be completely fixed, and all lag generated by it completely gone. On a side note, half my base took a bullet for the server and was deleted when I fixed the leak.

Same thing has happened as with all map changes, Beastnode is working on fixing the server properties, then I'll have them work out a way to prevent it.

Okay, well in trying to determine the problem, the server.properties corrupted. Waiting for it to be fixed. The temp map will only run today, or until we determine the cause of the memory leak. And I need you guys to play on that map so that we max out the slots for a while. Then we can determine if its the map, and we can look into fixing the old one. "This can be misleading because there can be other causes for the symptom." In the most general term, lag is perceived as a problem with the host or server in this case. You're clearly just a troll trying to persuade players to not come on our server by telling them that we'll have lag. We don't have any server side lag issues, so its all connection issues or framerate. We run 20 tps 99% of the time, which means we have no lag. Goodbye troll, you won't get another response from me. You also gave a technical definition that covers three things as lag. That's not how a normal person would define lag.

No Lag implies server lag. Not framerate. If its their internet connection, they're just going to get disconnected, not experience lag. You better learn what things mean yourself before posting an uneducated comment defacing a server.

I've stated the server keeps crashing due to a chunk that gets loaded when I'm offline. Since I'm not there to witness the problem, I can't identify the chunk. NoLagg is slowly working its magic on the chunks causing problems, and the server is returning to a very stable condition. And when I say its up, it is up. Look at the timeframe that I make the post in. If I say its up, then go to bed, and its down, I'm not going to magically sense its down, wake up, edit my post for 2 minutes, turn it on again, and re-edit the post.

I just felt a brain cell die. Seriously people, how do you guys make these assumptions? The server has been crashing due to a large amount of entities that someone left. So whenever those chunks load, we crash. The new IP was posted over 20 days ago, but Poke never checked here for the new IP and didn't get my message on minecraftforums. Don't just assume crap that you know isn't true. On an unrelated note, please thank murphy3333 for the donations that helped us reach our goal to support the server for another month. Also, I will get your donator package to you once I see you in game.
