    Remember that this thread on the technic forums is rarely updated. Try to keep an eye on our main thread.

    You were banned because when you came online, it caused the server to cap out at 100% CPU usage. When I kicked you, the CPU idled, as soon as you logged back in, the CPU went back up to 100% and stayed there until I banned you, then instantly started to idle again.

    When I warped to your last location the server again began to cap at 100%, so something you have done, or something somebody has done that lives very close to you, is causing serious server issues. Until I get to the bottom of it, I'm afraid I can't let you back onto the server.

    If it turns out that the CPU issue is not your fault, I will of course remove the global ban and apologise.

    I will let you know of the outcome some time today (Sunday).

    Welcome!

    I see some similar items in your descriptions in that you've been on other Tekkit servers that were out of control, ruined by EE, and lagged.

    As you'll have seen in the first post, we've had to disable a lot of the EE mod so that the game maintains balance. It makes end-game items much harder to achieve, which we believe makes them more rewarding when you do eventually get there! =)

    As for lag, I've personally never experienced any on our server, and I'm all but certain none of our members would say we're on a laggy server. =) We've had the odd spike, but I'm generally pretty quick to address those issues I think.

    Ice, there are some rules regarding bumping on these forums but I think you'll be ok. If it's any consolation, our main thread is actually here (3500 views, 219 replies, Hot topic):

    If you put in a nice word on there I'm sure it'll attract more members. ;-) I rely on you guys to post in these topics so that I can reply to them and keep the threads active, feel free to ask me questions or post some suggestions/requests. It probably doesn't hurt if you cross-post between our two threads too - I might ask Dylan to post his Ender Dragon story over here, I thought that was a cool thing of him to do. Double posting and posts just containing "bump" are frowned upon.

    Don't forget to vote for us too, you get rewarded in-game instantly and it may attract more attention to our main thread.

    Most importantly though, glad you're enjoying it ice! Let me know when I can pop round and get some screenshots of your house, it's looking good. =)

    The server has been taken down for 30 minutes to be migrated to our new reliable host!

    When the server comes back up, the Smudgedom Festival will begin. We have exciting events lined up, and some amazing new features to showcase, so get your applications in if you're not a member yet, and see everyone soon!!

    @Dylan - I wasn't allowed (double posting). Thanks though, now I am allowed!! =)

    Festival over. I hope everyone enjoyed it. There are still some new features I haven't shown everyone yet, but I'll get a new tutorial area built up tomorrow, if I have time.

    To anyone that experienced any downtime this morning... sorry, the issue is in-hand.

    We are upgrading again (this will be our third upgrade already!). This time to a new and much more expensive dedicated host provider. What this means to you:

    • More player slots - bring your friends!
    • Better performance - I haven't seen anyone complain about performance at all, but more is better right!?
    • *Greatly* improved reliability, and therefore uptime. - No more apologies from me!!
    • Approx. 30 minutes of downtime tonight *sadface*. - Not to worry though, I'll stay up late and do the upgrade when ya'll are sleeping! In return, I expect someone to brew up some tasty beer and invite me round!

    We still have room on the current server, so keep your applications coming in!
