  1. Well, the client mod has been updated already up to 0.5.7 and this is now fixed on my system.
  2. I agree that based on your crash report, and the MCEdit removal of a machine, that a machine was the problem. However, this means you've found a bug with IndustrialCraft, and it doesn't apply to Tekkit Lite. If you are willing to take the time, report the bug to the IC team.
  3. The client recommended build has just jumped to 0.5.6. In the launcher, try "Options > Clear Cache" and make sure the Rec. build is set (should be 0.5.6 at the moment) report back if the crash still occurs with 0.5.6. EDIT: whoops, that won't help joining a 0.5.5 server. So then, can you confirm successfully joining other 0.5.5 servers? If so, then the problem may not be on your end. But if you can't join any of your servers, that's different.
  4. Title: [0.5.6] Client does not load FML Version: 0.5.1 OS: Linux Mint 13 w/openJDK Java Version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.4) (6b24-1.11.4-1ubuntu0.12.04.1), OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode) Description of Problem: The Tekkit lite client starts ok, but there is no message in the lobby about Forge Mod loader, and in singleplayer it is clear that no mods are loaded. I see that in the /mods folder, there is "[1.4.6]ReiMinimap_v3.2_06.zip". Also in the coremods/ folder, I see "[1.4.6]TreeCapitator.Forge.1.4.6.r03.Uni.CoreMod.jar". But this is 1.4.7 Minecraft. When trying to connect to the Tekkit Lite server 0.5.6, I get the error message "You don't have FML installed, you cannot connect to this server" The 0.5.6 server is able to load FML, obviously, so perhaps the client FML is outdated for 1.4.6 like the two mods above. [NOTE: In form entry, the "Tekkit Lite Version" dropdown box only allows 0.5.1 as a choice, but this is Client 0.5.6] Error Messages: You don't have FML installed, you cannot connect to this server Error Log: no crash occurs
  5. Idiot report Being very familiar with Linux, but not the 'unzip' utility, I accidentally extracted the tekkit server into the current directory rather then the target folder. I then moved all files one by one (I thought) however I missed the two folders buildcraft/ and config/. On executing, the server recreated those folders, so we didn't notice they were not the original. I deleted the auto=created buildcraft/ and config/, moved in the orphans, and it started correctly and set up spawn. 6. tunnel is for digging straight ahead... if you want to dig down use "excavate 2" or "excavate 3" etc depending on how wide you want the hole.
  7. Hello, I have also run into this bug. It exists with Tekkit servers/clients version 3.1.2. A mining turtle can be crafted in this version, and a wireless turtle can be separately crafted. But not a wireless mining turtle. This is with the normal crafting table. The bug occurs when the player adds one of the extras ie, placing a wireless modem into the mining turtle recipe, or placing the diamond pickaxe in with the wireless turtle recipe. Instead of changing the output slot into a wireless mining turtle, the slot just goes blank, as if an incorrect recipe was provided. Hope this is fixed soon... I have some ideas for scripting a wireless mining turtle. For now, I am good with just the mining turtle in survival mode. (But damn, I wasted 3 redstone making 3 wireless modems) Initially, I guess the first thing is to find out where the bug is. I don't think this is a bug with ComputerCraft, since the correct recipe does show when pressing "R" on the wireless mining turtle in the dialogue for crafting. NOTE: Using the exact same client - which experienced the bug on two different 3.1.2 servers - in singleplayer mode, I am able to craft the wireless mining turtle.
  8. Hi, Just want to share two screenshots of me using openJDK with Tekkit. Aww, how cute! Little creepers! Now that's one seriously messed-up skeleton... Actually, openJDK has come a long way since I last tried (and failed) to run vanilla minecraft. And this texture problem only occurs with Tekkit, not vanilla minecraft. It is possible that vanilla actually works completely with the current version of openJDK. So it shouldn't be long before I can say goodbye to Oracle Java for Tekkit. If I find anything else hilarious, I will post more pics. Technical information (since it is a bug, just not a serious one) Machine: Dell Inspiron N7010 (6GB Ram) running Linux Mint 13 64-bit. $ java -version java version "1.6.0_24" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.3) (6b24-1.11.3-1ubuntu0.12.04.1) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode) WARNING: Rebooting with [java, -Xmx1024m, -classpath, /home/adam/minecraft/technic-launcher-latest.jar, org.spoutcraft.launcher.Main]
