  1. Doesn't seem to be that old so I'll not start a new thread. Similar issue, though I made a rending gale ring so I could fly to find the island, no biggie. Big issue for me is the ender dragon seems to be missing. The island is there and the towers, endermen and such are all there but the ender dragon seems to have not spawned. I've checked the essentials config, deleted the end world folder and let it re-create by entering portal again but no change. Seems odd because I've seen other people saying they had nearly 10 dragons somehow spawn in their tekkit smp. Any ideas? I do have multiverse and skylandsPlus installed but I havent even looked at the config files yet let alone actually used them. Could that be causing an issue?
  2. Hah Ill keep that in mind. It may be too much. It's just running on an i7 laptop with 8 gigs of ram that sits under my tv lol. Runs well enough for just the four of us but already using around 4gigs of ram with all of us on. Thanks for the tip :)
  3. I'll let you know how it works out when everyone leaves the server and I can pull it down to install forestry Mystcraft looks pretty neat too lol. So much possible that you could go a full day without even playing the game, just messing with mods lol
  4. Hmm. If a chunks been discovered before, what's in it has been saved somewhere in the world database right? Would that mean that any undiscovered chunks would load based on whatever generation rules are present at the very instant that it loads? That would mean it would add the forestry stuff to any undiscovered land. That wouldn't be so bad at all. There should be a fair amount of undiscovered land not even too far away. What about the //regen command in worldedit? "Regenerate the selection region." Is a bit vague. Would it reload the selection based on current rules, or just recreate as it was made the first time? Interesting.
  5. Ah i see. Shame. I suppose I could copy all the buildings and export with worldedit and paste back in, and just re-do all the piping. There isn't a terribly large amount of it. Would probably lose a good 60 tanks of fuel though. I'll think it over. Might not be worth it for what the mod adds. Thanks again for all your help Vex.
  6. Hah. Well don't I feel simple now. Thank you very much for your answer! Don't really want to post another question thread so soon after my last one so maybe you or anyone else noticing this thread can help with an unrelated question. I was thinking about adding the forestry mod back into tekkit, but it would be added to my existing world, since I don't really want to lose a couple of weeks worth of work and I don't think the other few people playing on it would either. Is there any way to force the world to regenerate itself with any new blocks that would be added by forestry? Beehives etc. Thanks again!
  7. Hey there! This is just a quick question. I'm playing on a local tekkit/bukkit server and as the title implies, it doesn't seem my gold transfer pipes speed up items coming from quarries at all. I've tried making the gold pipe section the first pipe from quarry and tried putting it at varying locations throughout the pipe system. I've put several gold pipes back to back. Rebooted the server multiple times. I think I must be doing something wrong. Is it just that they do not speed things up when being pushed from a quarry? I'm using the latest recommended build. Technic launcher settings says 3.1.2 | 1.2.5, launcher build 1.0.1.3 Thanks!
  8. Had to pop in just to say thank you! I had the same issue. Sudden, unexplained crippling lag. I first misdiagnosed the issue as running water. When starting quarries, I'd line the walls with source water blocks so it would create a lake instead of a gaping hole, and kill lava at the same time. Two birds with one stone right? Apparently not. Never thought that the water underneath the top row all the way to bedrock would be processed as running water. Installed worldedit to clear the top row so water would subside, which seemed to fix the lag. (3 quarries covering a 40x70 area) Went about my business elsewhere and came back, same issue but no water! Was baffling. After stumbling upon this post I went and (slowly) checked my chests, and one of them had hundreds of items spilled over it. Needless to say buildcraft hates filled chests. Shame the items can't just move to the next in line, as I had 12 double chests lined up and the back 4 near-empty. That, and unloaded chunks where I found them spilled from the middle of pipes. I guess world anchors and teleport tethers don't work all that well either. I made sure all the piping/quarries/pumps were within the range of my 4 world anchors, and littered the pipeline with teleport tethers just to be sure using the F9 grid as a guide. Not much luck it seems though. Just installed the NoLagg plugin to start stacking items that are floating around. That should (hopefully) eliminate the issue. Thank you so much. Really.
  9. Hey there. Not sure if this can even be done easily with so many mods in play, but I would like to try and update industrialcraft to 1.103 to see if it fixes the bug where crops get trampled (was supposed to be fixed in 1.97 but wasn't for me) as they're currently unusable. I noticed when I dropped the new IC into the mods folder and removed the older one that IC is no longer a zip file, just a jar. Is this something that can be done or will I just have to do without? Can post the server log if any interest is shown. Thanks
