hi there, same problem here for me. i've tried to set the server up in an VM with ubuntu 12.04 server x64 and java version 1.7.0_03. i downloaded the server files a couple of times and copied them into the VM. but every time the tekkit server crashed right after the start, with the same error message the thread opener gets. i've tried a few things (like deleting the nether ore - or the enderstrorage files) but nothing helped. a friend of mine tested tekkit on his ubuntu server. after upgrading to ubuntu 12.04 and to the newest java version it worked for him properly. then he sent me his files and i hoped it could work for me as well. but nothing happened, the same error occurred again. does anyone have a guess what it could be?

did you try to update your java to version 1.7.0_03 (or java 7 update 7) ?
