Hi There, I have a few things you can try. I recently set up a new server after a brief hiatus and had the same issue. First off, I want to be sure you are having your friends connect through your external IP, a colon, then the port (default 25565). IE: 123.4.5.67:25565 You can also self test this yourself by connecting to your external IP instead of localhost. Secondly, Disable your Antivirus and Windows Firewall. If this fixes the issue then the problem is most certainly that you did not add an exception in your firewall/AV. Each AV is different, but the windows firewall setting is very quick and easy: Control panel -> Windows Firewall -> Advanced Settings (left sidebar) -> Inbound Rules (left sidebar) -> New Rule (right sidebar) -> Select Port -> Select TCP and Specific Local Ports -> Enter 25565 in the field (default tekkit and minecraft port) -> Select Allow the Connection -> Keep all three checked -> Name it "Tekkit TCP". For redundancy, repeat those steps again with the UDP selection, and name it "Tekkit UDP". Retry connecting to [YourIP]:25565. Hopefully this helps! Best of luck.
