I disabled the sounds, still getting the problem. I should also add that today I upgraded to Windows 7 and it still didn't change. That means it a hardware problem right? Which is very strange, because I played Tekkit for 2 weeks problem free and I can run all my other games more smoothly now than when I first started playing Tekkit. I am highly confused. It's weird, there doesn't seem to be any info in the logs about whats going wrong. Worst thing is I am renting the server my friends and I play on so if I stop they lose all the stuff they built. D:

Only contact I had with a mod on this forum was an angry rant from him about how not to use the internet, but we both already know about that. I'm sorry the mods don't get credit for their actions, but I still can't understand why anyone would do it for free (inflated sense of authority maybe?). Anyway who gets all the money from donations and advertising then?

I am having what seems to be a memory leak problem also I cannot run the .exe file so its interesting you think the 2 are related, as that could explain my problem. I guess we will have to wait until the devs fix or at least acknowledge the problem with .exe to know for sure. BTW did you find any more info? Looks like you gave up on this thread because of the guys adamantly defending Tekkit and blaming your system lol.

As much as you'd like to flatter yourself, I'd like to point out 2 things: 1: I am still having the errors I've been having for days, so surprise surprise, I am still looking for a solution. 2: There are very few threads you guys have not posted in, so its almost impossible to avoid your infuriating posts.

You guys have already told me that I'm not getting help because I'm too stupid to post in the right section, so what have I got tolose, no offence, but I haven't actually seen you or Jorcer come up with a solution that hasn't already been suggested. I'm not attacking all the threads you try to assist in, I am looking at threads for a solution, only to find that you two are there, being as unhelpful and antagonising as usual. @Jorcer, like you have said many times, one just needs to use google for that work around (not a solution). And I have a pink name, because I do not know the admins, and you do. Its a good way of just voiding someones opinion before you've even heard it, they.ve got a kitty jail or stupid newbie so they must be just a troll or someone not worth listening to, when the truth is a lot of people have been marked out by this, and its almost always because you toy with them until they get angry.

All I see in these forums is, someone asks for help, they get a sarcastic, arrogant or unhelpful response (usually from one of two people) they react angrily then get alienated and chastised until they give up looking for help. What a lovely forum.

Not really addressing the original problem though, does anyone have any news about the .exe file?

I having the same problem, been trying to find a solution for days now, still nothing I'm afraid. I have realised that it only happens in Tekkit multiplayer, is it the same for you? Also, the following solutions do not work: Removing MAtmos Changing Optifine version Lowering view distance/ gfx settings. Reinstalling anything. Do you have an ATI graphics card? Just trying to think of what we may have in common.

I'd just like to point out that people get hostile because you (ash) and Jorcer like to look down on the noobs, and you are all very very arrogant. I mean seriously people who type sigh when dealing with someone who doesnt know as much as you really is arrogant. Here is an idea guys, if you can't help the guy asking for help, why not just not reply. I looked through a lot of threads looking for solutions for things, and ash and jorcer come up in a lot of them, usually with "don't double post" or "use correct grammar", or "learn to make a proper bug report". And not one solution to the issues me and many others have been having. Its kinda funny really.

This seems to be happening to a lot of people, been watching the forums for days, there are many with this problem, and no real solutions. And no word from the mods even acknowledging the problem exists (you'd think they could at least put a warning on the forums saying the .exe might not work for some.) Anyway, for now, you can download the .jar (Linux version on the DL page) file and run it with Java. Also, I think it will be a long time to get fixed, as this is a free mod and therefor there is no incentive for the mods to be nice or care when things go wrong.

@Grindle, I cant do most of those things but I have tried other multiplayer tekkit servers, and i get the same problem, however on single and other mods I dont get this problem. I have tried turning all the gfx down. It is almost random when it decides to start lagging (also, I get a strange sound effect like splashing and electricity when it happens). I have always used the default textures. I dont have another computer unfourtunately. I checked the link, it does look interesting but they are talking about forestry which isn't in Tekkit anymore. I will get one of my friends to remove all the MFEs when he logs on to see if thats the cause, (though if that was the case, surely other people would be having the problem.) I think for now I'm just going to switch my server over to the DNS Techpack or something different, as Tekkit has been a very bumpy ride for me, I am getting problems that lots seem to have, to which there seems to be no fix. And no information about from official sources. @Freak, np thanks for trying to help.

OK I put the new Optifine in, and still the original lag problem persists.

Reinstall FML properly and try again.

Can you tell me where to find the archives? Edit, I found the version Tekkit uses (I think) and put it into the modloader.jar, this time, I was able to navigate the menu, but it went to white screen when I tried to join a server. http://pastebin.com/K99X6n32

Ok, I manually removed all of those files, and it loaded to the menu for about a second and then went to a white screen, I'm guessing it won't let me load tekkit without optifine

Erm you weren't helping me before, thats why I got angry in the first place. But you are right there is one guy helping me and I and extremely thankful as I know I don't deserve it because I get angry when I'm feeling down. Sorry Jorcer.

OK, I thought I was out of options, I'm trying this now, not sure what you mean by optifine archives, but I assume if I download and unzip optifine it will show me the files i need to remove.

Don't you understand how upsetting it is to ask for help and just have all the "locals" gang up on you. I'm sorry for getting angry at Jorcer, but I'm trying to fix a problem and I'm constantly distracted by people trying to start arguments with me. I find it difficult to control my anger when someone baits me and I'm sorry for that. I really enjoyed Tekkit for a while and it helped me keep my mind off IRL issues for a while. I'm the kind of person that needs these things, and when I lose them, I panic. Which is what I have been doing for the past 3 days, hence me being to stressed out. I think it has got to the point where I must accept the fact that you guys won't help because you don't like me and I don't blame you, so I will stop trying to fix it and hopefully find another game. One question, do you guys care at all if new players can't use the mods or do you just hate me? Problem is- I'm pretty obsessive about these things so I find it difficult just to forget about it. First time I've had to stop playing a game for technical reasons :(
