I love how the only thread I am getting multiple people replying to is the one where people are arguing with me, not the ones where I need help. And Jorcer, no I didn't see that stuff, I am a stupid newbie, did you not see my avatar?

OK I did that, now I'm just getting a white screen when I open tekkit. I may have done something wrong, gonna reinstall and try again. Yes, second attempt had the same result just a white screen.

You're right Jay, I am a stupid newbie, I didn't know anything about Java before I got Minecraft and I still know very little. I found the forum titles, and abbreviations confusing so I ended up posting in the wrong place. Why can't you just accept that I and others like me will make mistakes rather than just trying to fight me every step of the way.

After 3 days of trying to solve my problem I have found 1 possible solution I haven't tried (to remove Optifine), which I haven't tried, because no one will tell me how, as Optifine is definitely not the cause (according to them). Hardly anyone answers help requests, unless to flame in some way. The reason I reacted strongly in this thread, is because I had spent my weekend trying everything I could find to fix this problem, and this guy tells me the reason I didn't get help is because I haven't proven I have done some work. In other words, useless post (against the rules) and its only purpose was to annoy me.

I am not familiar with this, but I'm giving it a go now. Thanks for being patient with me. I assume the one I want is called Optifine light? Hmm, the guide I found says to drag the mod into the modloader.jar file, but it won't let me do that Ok I think I've got it, do I put in the compressed optifine or do I unzip it first?

But they are a place to have people telling me I haven't proven I've done any work so I don't deserve any help. Thanks for the clarification.

I tried to take a screenshot, it just gave me a black screen, I will try again. I am using Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall. Where do I find the folder to put vanilla Optifine in ? Edit: OK here is the screenshot http://postimage.org/image/bqkrwi0h5/

It was the same with 1 gig, I made no major changes to the PC, just reinstalled the 3 programs at first. When the slowdown last happened, f3 said it was 20% (don't remember exactly, I just remember it not being high). I'm allocating 512 mb if you mean to Tekkit, I have also put Java on high priority. This was something I tried pretty early on. I am almost certain the problem is not related to my RAM, else I wouldn't be able to play singleplayer or native, and I wouldn't have been playing Tekkit for 2 weeks with no problems.

Thanks for the reply, but I can't find Optifine in the Tekkit folder, it doesn't seem to be listed in the mods section, do you know how I can find it?

I installed hack using the technic launcher, but when I go to join MP servers, it says I need a newer version.

I am having serious problems with Tekkit, but vanilla is working fine. I'm not going to go into details, as I have already made about twelfty different threadson different sites describing my problem. The point is, I would like to disable or better yet remove Optifine, so I can see if this is the cause. If it's not possible to remove, is it possible to install all the mods manually so I can avoid installing Optifine?

Well, my problem hasn't come up in the stickies, and I got no reply whatsoever on any of my threads, so.... I'm assuming there isn't any kind of official support for Technic then.

I did post in the right place after that order (wasn't a suggestion). No one has replied. I cannot get help on these forums, they are just patrolled by lifeless trolls such as yourself, who enjoy making someone else's hard time even more stressful.....

Fuck you, I've been trying to fix this problem for days, I have reinstalled and updated windows, I've done the same with Technic, Minecraft and Java. I have scoured these forums for any solutions, not only has no one answered any of my threads/posts with anything useful, no one seems to answer anyone elses threads with anything useful. I am paying for a multiplayer Tekkit server which I currently cannot use. There is no help and no support here. I know the mod is free, but I wish it was payed so I might get some support, have you any idea how frustrating it is to get NO HELP WHATSOEVER for a problem that I am not the only one having. All I want is for ONE person to suggest something useful or at least TRY to help. And all I get is this. And Ash, I did post in the Tekkit forums. NO FUCKING REPLY. So it seems the only replies I get are amartarse comments or some prick telling me to post somewhere else. Well, after spending a weekend trying to fix this, I am just going to have to give up and stop playing Tekkit. I know no one gives a shit so I don't even know why I'm typing it here.

And has anyone ever actually found a solution to their problem on these forums? Because all I see is bug report after bug report with no useful replies.

I am having a problem where Tekkit slows down to roughly 0 fps after 5 mins or so of playing. I have tried many solutions (for 2 days now). Someone has suggested MAtmos my be causing the problems, so I'd like to try removing it.

I looked at the logs after it happened again, and there was a warning about Matmos, saying it might cause problems. Unfournunaltely I didn't make a note of this. I deleted Matmos and tried again, it didn't solve the problem.
