0 Sevoran Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 thanks i actually got it to work perfectly on my os i just had to prioritize my java Hey, I'm having the same issue. Care to elaborate on your solution?
0 megamanzteam Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I too have this exact error. I'm on OS 10.6.8. The previous launcher version worked fine, but I wanted to use Tekkit 3.0.3. Since my launcher was not up to date, it would load vanilla MC. I'm also using Java 6.
0 Tweygoh Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Yeah, I have the same os and like to know more exactly how you fixed it thanks
0 somguy9 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 My technic launcher just opens the thing i want to open normally, but then the window of the thing just imedeately closes! im on mac version 10.7.4 btw
0 micklebaxter Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 type 'java' in finder, then open up java preferences. drag java se 6 to the top and it should work fine :)
0 thefennster101 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 type 'java' in finder, then open up java preferences. drag java se 6 to the top and it should work fine wow this guy is some genius! (my technic now works)
0 micklebaxter Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 thanks only problem is the actual game itself is crashing all the time >:(
0 Ploop12 Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Yeah, I had this problem, And needed to change my java preferences to 64 bit java as the first thing used by my javascript
0 CosnowCoco Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Its really not that complicated, and I find it stupid it took me so much trouble to install this... All you need is java 6 se. After you have that installed go to the search spotlight or search bar and search for "java" you should see a "java preferences". Under general settings in "java preferences" select the java 6 se and de-select the others. Then drag the java 6 se to the top of all the others and it should work. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. and YES I AM on Mac 10.5.8 so IT DOES WORK!
0 tStori3 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 CosnowCoco............ i love you lol. It finally opened. Thank you so much.
0 DaveVT5 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 For others who have Java SE 6 running and still encountering this error, check to ensure you have an internet connection. I received the same error when my interwebs were broken.
0 Mitzey Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I get the same problem and I have tried to downgrade java but that so far has not fixed anything. I believe it has to do with the OS itself. i'm running the latest version of Mountain Lion 10.8.2

Also, this thread has been dead since August so I doubt any of the fixes here apply to your issue. Also read the third post: No one can help. Your OS is too old to run Technic/Tekkit/YogBox. Sorry.

Also read the third post: Someone needs to check the post dates before replying. I doubt this is even an issue any more, since people figured out how to use Java 6 for Macs. I think.
