TheBurningFox Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) As the title says, whenever I try to load my pack through the launcher, it just loads up a vanilla 1.7.10 https://copy.com/web/users/user-14343398/copy/Antagonist.zip?revision=9&download=1 Pack runs fine when I run it from my minecraft.exe Edited November 23, 2014 by TheBurningFox
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted November 23, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted November 23, 2014 Always provide the API URL link when requesting assistance. The link you provided does not work. A copy.com public share link should look like this: https://copy.com/uep7m47x2LUTQWEI?download=1
TheBurningFox Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Sorry, does this work? https://copy.com/B83VL1TuGWpaRIPn%2FAntagonist.zip?download=1 http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/antagonist
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted November 23, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted November 23, 2014 Mutant Creatures mod requires AnimationAPI mod, which you are missing.
TheBurningFox Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) I had actually meant to take that one out. Whoops, I'll doublecheck my .zip for the files I had found to not work for me. Edit: Got that fixed. Will check back when I wake up because it is rather late here. Jon_ Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Can you please provide the modpack's latest.log & the latest launcher log?
EvilOwl Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Can you please provide the modpack's latest.log & the latest launcher log? If this loads vanilla only the platform link or zipped modpack can help diagnose.
Jon_ Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 If this loads vanilla only the platform link or zipped modpack can help diagnose. I know what do you mean but when building modpacks you can find a lot of strange cases, more information won't harm.
EvilOwl Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 I know what do you mean but when building modpacks you can find a lot of strange cases, more information won't harm. ofc but this one will generate vanilla logs.. They will be useless.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted November 24, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted November 24, 2014 Your modpack archive is different, but you have not incremented the version number in your pack settings page. Unless the version number increments/changes the client (after a restart) will never be notified that a new version is available and prompt you for an update. Your modpack archive is missing the contents of the mods1.7.10 folder. While these files should be downloaded automatically (usually), it is still better to include your selected versions in the modpack. In the event that the automated service has problems the pack will not work properly if they aren't included.
TheBurningFox Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Well I stabbed at it, gave up for a good, long time, then got that fire rekindled. I re-uploaded it and adjusted the version numbers as mentioned, and now I'm stuck with it not even installing. It downloads fine, at least. But nothing is launching. https://copy.com/UNscfzB97Mp3domH/Antagonist.zip?download=1 That's the new download link from copy.com.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted January 23, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted January 23, 2015 Something is "wrong" with your modpack archive ZIP file. What program are you using to create it? I simply extracted your archive and recreated it using WinZip, then copied over the file downloaded by the Launcher and the pack worked fine. This is the error being generated with your version of the modpack archive: [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:UsersjuniorAppDataRoaming.technicmodpacksantagonistmods (Access is denied) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.utilslib.ZipUtils.unzipEntry(ZipUtils.java:95) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.utilslib.ZipUtils.unzipFile(ZipUtils.java:145) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.tasks.UnzipFileTask.runTask(UnzipFileTask.java:58) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.tasks.TaskGroup.runTask(TaskGroup.java:64) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.InstallTasksQueue.runAllTasks(InstallTasksQueue.java:52) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.ModpackInstaller.installPack(ModpackInstaller.java:41) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at net.technicpack.launcher.launch.Installer$1.run(Installer.java:112) [B#245] 2015/01/23 07:37:29 [SEVERE] at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) The "access denied" error indicates something fundamentally wrong with the archive file.
TheBurningFox Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Thats interesting. I always use WinRar for my .zip related needs. Strange though, I've never seen this sort of problem. Edit: Okay, I remade the .zip and uploaded it and updated everything and its working fine now. I'm assuming I was dumb when I made the .zip because I probably created it as a .rar and changed the file extension, so that was my bad. Awesome, it works! Edited January 23, 2015 by TheBurningFox
