Cheezbud Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 hey i just made a custom modpack on here and it only loads up vanilla minecraft, it dosn't show any of the mods or forge and im really unsure of what to do. here's my modpack link http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/cheezytest.539528
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 1, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 1, 2014 Your modpack is not configured properly and does not provide a URL to add into the Launcher. Follow the link you provided and take note of the giant red warning box.
Cheezbud Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 i followed the link and it showed no big red warning for me. i did all i can think of for it to work. i am new to making modpacks.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 1, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 1, 2014 This pack will not show in the modpack index until it is properly configured. Either set a URL for a zip or configure Solder. Your download URL is invalid.
Cheezbud Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 im not 100% how to do this personally, me and a friend did try testing it and we never had a message like that
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 1, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 1, 2014 Please provide the contents of the box labeled "Modpack Location" from the settings page of your modpack.
Cheezbud Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/5hsou76758izqfp/mymodpack.zip?dl=0 that should be it Edited December 1, 2014 by Cheezbud
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 1, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 1, 2014 Your modpack.jar file is broken. It is in RAR instead of the required ZIP format. The modpack.jar file is simply the Forge universal binary JAR file renamed to modpack.jar. Don't mess with it at all other than that. Better Dungeons/Chocolate Quest is not installed properly. You are missing the top level Chocolate folder. Please redownload the mod and follow the instructions. Your Optifine is woefully out of date. This will likely cause problems. IDFixMinus is not intended to be distributed with a modpack. You should use it to fix your ID conflicts then remove it before assembling your modpack archive. Fix these issues and come back if you still have troubles.
Cheezbud Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 ah i see, thank you so much for the help
Cheezbud Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 ok so i did all of that but now when i click play it close's the launcher then loads it back up.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 2, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 2, 2014 From your ForgeModLoader-client-0.log: Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Duplicate enchantment id This post on fixing ID conflicts may help you: Opinion: (feel free to ignore) You are doing yourself a disservice by creating a 1.6.4 modpack at this stage in the game. Development in 1.6.4 has basically stalled and you will get at best a couple maintenance releases (and those only in a few mods). If you are making a new pack you would likely be better suited by creating a 1.7.10 modpack.
Cheezbud Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 ohh right now i get it now thank you, i have looked into 1.7.10 but i decided 1.6 as the mods are more up to date
Cheezbud Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 did it say what ID it was by any chance?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted December 2, 2014 Discord Moderator Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) You can alter your AM2 config file thusly: enchantments { I:magic_resist=120 I:soulbound=124 } Should fix the enchantment ID conflict. Also: Your BetterDungeons/ChocolateQuest mod is not installed correctly. Open the ZIP file and follow the instructions. Edited December 2, 2014 by plowmanplow
