Lite-Bite
I'm having trouble installing Smart Moving to my Tekkit server. I have the client working, but no matter what I do I can't get the smp version to work. I followed the installation instructions for the CraftbukkitPlayer API (drop the files from the zip into the Craftbukkit jar and delete BUKKIT.sf) and I've tried putting the Smart Moving zip in the plugins folder and the mod folder and neither one of them works. What am I missing here?
zergdog
the smart moving zip since it is a mod, goes into your "Mod folder" no need to edit the mincraft.jar, this goes for both the server and client.
Lite-Bite
I modified the.jar because Smart Moving (usually) requires you to install Player API, otherwise it has no access to the player class. The client actually did work without installing Player API (might have had it by default). I've tried just putting it in the mods folder for the server and it doesn't work. I've also tried installing Player API to the server and that doesn't work either.
Thraka
It would be wonderful to have this included in Tekkit client\server. It really enhances the playability of Minecraft and the animations for crawling, swimming, and hanging on ledges are really great!

So I tried to install the Player API Server to the Tekkit.jar, but where do I put all of the files? I put the PlayerAPI.class, PlayerBase.class, PlayerSorter.class and PlayerSorting.class files into net/minecraft/server/ folder. Is that where it is supposed to go? And what about gi.class? Where does that go?
theprolo
You just generally shove them into the .jar, they don't go into anything unless they specifically say so. Or that's how most mods work anyway. Read installation instructions?

Read installation instructions? I know how to install the actual plugin but the API says to but the files where they go in the .jar... which isn't really helpful. "Copy all class files inside this ZIP file to their corresponding locations in your "minecraft_server.jar"." :/ EDIT: Also, do I extract the files in Smart Moving for ModLoaderMP into ModPack.jar or should I just put the .zip in there?
