I get an error that says "Can't find JAVA directory".

The cause and solution to this problem is the same as the problem directly above this one. You're

most likely using the incorrect bit version of JAVA, or it isn't up to date. Find out if you need the

64 bit version of JAVA and then go to www.technicpack.net and use the JAVA download links.

Read further up the list for how to determine the bit version of your OS or JAVA.

From the common problems and solutions sticky.

Ignore any of these steps if you have already successfully done them.

1) Install Java 7u5 64-bit.

2) Remove all older versions of Java.

3) Download the launcher .jar

4) Right-click on the launcher .jar and select "Run with Java"

5) If the cmd window pops up for a second and nothing else happens, add Java to your system path variable. No, I won't tell you how - Google it.

6) If it still doesn't work, come back and fill out a complete bug report.

If you have a 64 bit operating system you WILL NOT be able to run the launcher with 32 bit java.

i have run it with it, for me it was just faster when i installed the 64-bit
