Some things don't work right above layer 128. Two things I've noticed are:
1) IRON PIPES lose orientation whenever I leave the area. Note that there is a World Anchor in that chunk so the pipe isn't unloaded. I leave for a few minutes, come back, and all 3 pipe sides are set to "in" and I have to reset the "out" pipe with an iron wrench.
2) IC2 TRANSFORMERS (tested with LV & MV transformers) seem to lose orientation even though they APPEAR to be facing the right way. Using a wrench to change it to a wrong position and then back into the correct position is the only way to restore power flow.
I can confirm both of these in the overworld AND the nether but only above layer 128. Everything works as expected under 128. (Yes, I have a house in the roof of hell. )
