add items when i hold shift and ctrl and left click an item many times i get a stack of that item

You're going to need to be a lot more specific. What windows are you using, what version of 32 bit java, and most importantly TELL US WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

sry i was spelling quickly the prob is shift and control. when i hold down shift and control and left click an items about five times i get a stack of that item

im in the inventory and shift and control to but everything i a chest or the other way around and if i left click five time i get a stack of that item

eks: if i got one coal and holding down shift and ctrl and left click five times i get 64 coal

NEI is giving you items. You shouldn't need to click five times to do that though.
