0 ChemicalEdge Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 My first guess is a lack of RAM. How much RAM do you have, what else are you trying to run, and what version of Java are you using?
0 agelian Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 the VM could not allocate the amount of RAM you requested.. try lower values
0 cdeeks Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 thanks that worked but i have got 5 gig ram and the default values are 3 mmm so i set it to 1 but i dont think that will be sufficient for a server.
0 Ioakim Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 depends if your running a small privet server for you and your friends or a public server, 1 gig should be more than enough ram for 5 or so people, don't want to put to much ram into your server, if your playing on the same machine as the server you will want some ram for the system and some for the client your playing on as well
0 BloodravenD Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 It's a ram issue, if you using a 32bit operating system you can only apply about a gig and a half to the server and client. But if you have 64 you can put more. How it's set up by default is to put 3 gig max and 2 gig min for the server. To fix it just edit the .bat file and change the values to 1 for both or whatever you can set yours to.
