checking launcher version (less then 1 sec!) and nothing more

Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit

Java Version: 64 bit Java

Antivirus Program: Every time i start up the techniclauncher, "it says checking launcher version 0%"

then after less than an second the screen (it says checking launcher version 0%) it disapears. when i go to .techniclauncher (folder) there is only an technic-launcher.jar in it and i have searched for hours for the file with what i should be able to start the technic launcher correctly but i can't find it...

1. Desactivate your anti-virus.

2. Get the good Java version from those on the official Technic Pack site.

3. If the problem still isn't solved, hope someone who knows what he's saying comes and help you.

I had the same problem, have you set it so the jar file opens with a program like 7zip or Winrar automatically? If so then right click on the jar file and click open with java. This is how I fixed my problem.
