CarthOnasiGaming Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So I made a modpack for a LAN Party my friends and I do all the time. I created a folder, named it modpack, put some mods in, downloaded the forge universal jar, put it in the bin folder, zipped it all up, and uploaded it to copy. Set up a direct download link, posted it to the techinc page when I made the modpack. When I open technic and add the modpack, it acts as though it's downloading the modpack. When I run it though, I get vanilla minecraft. Upon checking the modpack in %appdata%, none of the mods are showing, and the jar is the default minecraft jar. When I use the direct download and download the modpack and open it, the mods and bin and config are all the way they should be. I'm super confused, help please? Quote
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted March 6, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted March 6, 2015 You most likely have the required folder (bin, config, mods) in a subfolder. However, since you haven't provided the API URL or pack details page link I cannot be more specific. Quote
CarthOnasiGaming Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 Oh, terribly sorry! Here's the direct download link... https://copy.com/aeF3uwUYk6xHOSBH?download=1 And thanks for the help in advance, that's probably the problem. If it is I'll let you know, if not, I'll say it didn't work. Quote
CarthOnasiGaming Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 So I tried what you said, as the modpack.zip held a single folder called modpack that had the new stuff in it. I got the bin, mods, and config into a new zip labeled modpack, reuploaded, and ran it again, but the problem didn't fix itself. Quick question: is the modpack.jar in the bin folder supposed to be in a zip format? I recall reading that somewhere, but didn't see how that would make sense. Here's the new direct download link: https://copy.com/PgYOZzd98rPxb0sX?download=1 Quote
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted March 9, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted March 9, 2015 Again, you really just need to be providing the API URL or a link to your pack details page. Without that I can't know how your metadata settings are configured. The pack as it is now seems to be fine. Quote
CarthOnasiGaming Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 Never mind, it was just an install error on my laptop. Tried again on my desktop and worked perfectly, thanks a ton! ~CarthOnasiGaming Quote
CarthOnasiGaming Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 Just for the sake of doing it though, here's the platform API link: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/jkjfjasaslkwejqhhdl Quote
