technic launcher will not update!

Launcher Version: 0.5.4.9

Operating System: windows 7

Java Version: lastest

Antivirus Program: every time i try and update the yogbox or technic it will not update it says "Update Failed" i have tryed using batch files but its still not working but i can still get the forums on the main page?? please help me respond ASAP my best regards Reece.

Have you tried to download an use the latest version of the launcher 1.0.1.3 ? You get it from the Technic Pack website.

Humm.. I don't have much experience with that launcher. I normally use the TechnicLauncher, not the Technic(pack)Launcher (Not sure why they don't have different names).

If you look at the left-hand menu of the websie, it should be listed there as version 1.0.1.3

Direct path is:

For the EXE:

For the JAR:

http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/technic-launcher-latest.jar

 

For the OSX:

i have tryed downloading the one you told me to and downloading java 64 bit and tryed it still not working getting confused now lol i downloaded the EXE cos im on windows 7 is that ok?

It's funny because the problem is more than likely to do with your AntiVirus?

Did you care to take a look at the lovingly crafted 'COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS' thread?

Basicly i am having trouble with the launcher i have just downloaded the one you sent me and just starting it up going try and see if it works and actually gets updated so i can play mods/game things but i cannont get online now but it was working before it was updating fine then it said 2 more trys and failed once so ...

Yeah, that's the common issue right now. A lot of reports and comments suggest this is an issue which is caused by the minecraft.net servers being ''wonky''. So a Mojang issue.

Other users, myself included, have got it to work after just trying a few times. Really shit situation but, eh.

I'm sure it wasn't intentionally done! I'm stunned to see so many new posts about the same issue since I joined and the disabling of AV hasn't solved it so far, unfortunately.. It does look more and more as a minecraft.net server issue.
