Over our history we have owned several modpack-based servers due to the the wonderful community that they create. We have hosted a Tekkit Lite, Feed the Beast Unleashed, Direwolf20, and Minigames server network. All of these met to varying success, but each time we loved the community we formed. Recently, however, we have had the urge to create our own little perfect minecraft, and have taken to constructing a custom modpack, with a well-hosted server and we hope you will help us form our newest and best community yet. We even have our own forums at industrialstorm.org. The ModpackThe modpack we’re hosting is an industrial based modpack inspired by Tekkit Lite and Tekkit Classic, but on 1.7.10 (with the intentions to upgrade to 1.8 when the mods allow), that can run well on almost any computer. The server is the only one of its kind for the modpack, and rather than being a server based around a modpack, it’s a modpack based around the server, which means fewer banned items, and a better communal experience when playing with the mods included. We run several well established plugins such as CoreProtect and GriefPrevention and some custom plugins too. The modpack is well-constructed with each mod in it being carefully considered in compatibility with all other mods. Which means more stability overall, and less disconnection between mods. About the server:We are a PvE modpack server with a strong focus on community and industrialization. We are hosted by OVH and intend to upgrade to am even more powerful dedicated server as needed. Everyone on our staff is there because they love our community and they love the game, we all work voluntarily for your enjoyment and all donations get put right back into the server. Any money made over goes into a fund for future months should we ever not make the donation, so we can run for as long as possible and support our community. Any players can join the server without applying, but you will need to get a basic IC2, or Thermal expansion setup before becoming member and getting access to all server features. To view the rules, read this thread on our forum. Banned Items:We only have 3 banned items, Nukes, ITNT, and Spot Loaders (spot loaders can bypass our chunk loading limits on Chunk Loaders). Additionally, Turtles are restricted to VIPs as they can bypass claims.
