Cant launch modpacks for some reason

So I just recently downloaded the launcher and i began to download the tekkit modpack.

When i downloaded it, I clicked play and it wouldn't start. Can anyone help me out with this problem?

And what does age have to do with this? im simply saying that It isnt starting up as its supposed to be when im clicking the play button.

Also says:

[b#283]  Error occurred during initialization of VM
[b#283]  Could not reserve enough space for 1048576KB object heap

after i attempt to start

 

nvm it fixed itself somehow

I didn't know if you were old enough to have ever visited a mechanic to deal with your car.

That error is caused by trying to ask Java to use more memory than you have available.  I'm guessing you closed a program or five, and it ran without issues.
