How do I automate charging an energy crystal?

I am trying to make a machine that makes MFSUs and the MFE unit needs charged energy crystals to craft it. I've tested a charging station but the only place the pipes will input the crystal is the same place as the output. So the crystals won't get fully charged.So as far as I know the charging station doesn't have a separate input and output slot like most machines. Is there another way to charge an energy crystal? Or is there a way to craft a fully charged energy crystal? I know when you make one with the crafting bench MK3 its charged but you can't automate that.

You could use a RP retriever set to take full crystals out.

Uhh, an MFE doesn't need charged crystals to craft it. It'll work just fine with uncharged ones
