Cant join server

Hi, I can't join any tekk server. whenever i try, it says

This server requires you to have the following mods:

(lists mods)

I always open in Tekkit. And I also tried reinstalling Java. Neither worked, also I have done the thing to enable you to select mods, yet it still doesn't let me use the mod select button. I'm not sure what other information to provide, so please help. If you need more info just let me know.

Launcher version 0.5.4.8 and yes i purchased minecraft.
