valirius Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) hello! I have a question concerning the different IDs of the same unit of the different mods.for exampleCopper ore is 664: 1 provides Bar 4623 (Forestry)copper ore bullion gives 168 4098 (Lord of the Rings)copper ore bullion gives 168 4098 (Lord of the Rings)copper ore in 1027 provides 5039 bar (metallurgy) I remember there was some unit that is able to collect these various units into a single type with one ID, so they can be put in the stack. What the block? How could be the case if the creator of mod does not care about this? As the game is structured? Edited May 1, 2015 by valirius
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted May 3, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted May 3, 2015 The proper way to deal with this is usually to configure ore generation for a single type of ore to only be enabled in one mod when/if multiple mods provide that type of ore. There are a few mods which provide a way to unify different mod versions of a single ore/material type (MineFactoryReloaded, Jabba, etc.), but mostly it comes down to modpack configuration. This is not an issue of a mod creator not "caring". A mod creator can't know what other mods a person will include so if a mod needs Copper it has to provide that itself.
valirius Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Thank you for having responded) I remember there was some mod like "buildcraft" or even some where there was a transformer. The unit, which can be put on the ground like an oven, and he made one other Haydee Haydee. In fact the building blocks. Does anyone remember of it? How to find it? Jabba although for that. But like the opportunity it was somewhere in a popular mod. Edited May 4, 2015 by valirius
