aliennova Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Recently I have fixed an issue with me creating a server. I found out that the server was looking for java in the wrong spot. So I redirected its path to the correct spot and I was able to create the server. But now when ever I run the technic launcher it ask me to run and I click "run" then it brings up "Checking launcher Version" and not a second later I get an error stating, Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediatley. The system cannot find the file specified V Details Continue Quit I click details and this is what it gives me. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The system cannot find the file specified at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithCreateProcess(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at TechnicLauncher.Program.RunLauncher(String launcherPath) at TechnicLauncher.Form1.DownloadStringCompleted(Object sender, DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs e) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4927 (NetFXspW7.050727-4900) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework64/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- TechnicLauncher Assembly Version: 1.0.1.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.1.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Users/Erik/Desktop/TechnicLauncher.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4927 (NetFXspW7.050727-4900) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4927 (NetFXspW7.050727-4900) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4927 (NetFXspW7.050727-4900) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4927 (NetFXspW7.050727-4900) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.4927 (NetFXspW7.050727-4900) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. ESS_fatal Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Try running the jar file in .Techniclauncher folder in appdate works for me when i was getting alot of erros
soulgriever Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 on thing you are saying is not making sense to me. you are mentioning the technic launcher and mentioning a server? which is it that you are having problems with client or server?
ESS_fatal Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 you say in your post when you run the Technic launcher it gets errors try running the jar file in .techniclauncher folder
aliennova Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 Soul, I fixed my server problem. But right after I fixed that problem this problem came. I think it had to do with something about me fixing my previous problem.
aliennova Posted July 17, 2012 Author Posted July 17, 2012 Thanks guys, I would still like to figure out how to fix my problem though. Running the jar file does work but still I would like to know what went wrong :P
soulgriever Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 try this in your search bar in the start menu type %appdata% there will be a folder that opens, in this directory there is a folder called .techniclauncher delete that folder then run the technic launcher again
