technic packages the wrong minecraft version with my modpack

So I made a custom modpack a while back and put it up on the technic launcher, everything worked fine till i updated the pack and added compact machines, since then technic has insisted on installing minecraft 1.6.4 instead of 1.7.10 as intended.  Does anyone know of a fix for this?  I have included the log file below if that helps anyone.

this isn't a launcher issue, as the issue is on the custom pack itself. The launcher does not "insist", it doesn't have a mind of its own. It launches the pack exactly the way you put it.
