rushur Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I seem to have followed all the instructions for making a modpack in the tutorial video, but I don't know why I'm getting the error: Error unzipping a file for the following pack: This is my API link. It seems to be broken or something. http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/taco-test I tried looking through the forums and Google and I can't seem to find the problem.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 14, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) The "modpack location" setting for your pack does not contain a valid URL to download the modpack archive. It currently seems to be blank, and I'm not even sure how you could have done that since the platform should have rejected an empty field. Try setting the modpack location to the correct value again. rushur Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) I changed the link, and this time it's a working link; I checked, but it seems to have the same problem http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/taco-test This is the link I used: https://www.dropbox.com/s/in4jd73o1jsrx3m/Taco-Test-1.0.zip?dl=1 Edited June 14, 2015 by rushur
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 14, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted June 14, 2015 Any time you alter the pack settings in any way, or update the modpack archive referenced by the modpack location, you must increment/change the pack version number.
rushur Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) Thanks. How do I do that? Edited June 14, 2015 by rushur
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 14, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted June 14, 2015 It's one of the settings for your pack, just like the description or modpack location. Now, onto the pack itself: Your modpack.jar file in /bin/ is actually named "modpack.jar.jar". Google "windows explorer always show file extensions" to learn how to prevent this issue. Your NEI mod is from an illegitimate source. This is always bad. Always get your mods directly from the mod authors. In this case you should download the latest 1.7.10 versions from here: http://chickenbones.net/Pages/links.html
