Issue with redstone energy conduits

When trying to control direction of energy flow from energy conduit you cant. when right clicking the connecting piece to the engine/device with any in game wrench it turns invisible preventing any energy flow at all.

It is working as intended. You do not control the direction of energy flow on the conduits themselves.
