person9455 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Recently I have been using my modpack fairly frequently and after I updated it using the same process I always do - the launcher came up with this error: Error unzipping the following pack: "my modpacks name" Error extracting file modpack name.zip Please consult the modpack author So after receiving this error I went to the internet to see if anyone had any answers- thread after thread, after thread, none had a way to fix this error. Also before you tell me: yes, my forge is up to date and it is in a .jar yes, I zipped the files correctly yes, all other mods are working properly (I have tested it outside of a launcher) Crash log: http://pastebin.com/1nBxWcHV Direct Link to modpack: https://copy.com/olQgPNxCpvJhHyrE (Yes i have used dropbox- same issue occurs) If someone has a fix for this it would be AWESOME- No where on the internet have i found the answer to my problem! Moderators Munaus Posted August 7, 2015 Moderators Posted August 7, 2015 custom modpack issues belong in Pagoda Moved
Amarnra Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) All that you need to do is append ?download=1 to the end of that link. So: https://copy.com/olQgPNxCpvJhHyrE?download=1 What you have there isn't a "direct" link, because it does not take you to an empty page with the download popping up automatically. After you have updated your modpack download link, ensure that you click on the "versions" tab and update the version to, for example, 1.1 (with a changelog, anything will do). Just tried what you told me and it didnt seem to work im pretty sure this isnt an issue with the download link because it was working just fine before- Is the issue maybe an issue with the modpack itself?
Amarnra Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 The link "https://copy.com/olQgPNxCpvJhHyrE" would never work as a download link to my understanding because it is not a direct download link. Have you had any download links prior to this one?
