Technic on my homescreen? - How?

I am very new to Technic and I have very little idea on how it works.

What I am wondering is how I can get Technic to be saved to my home screen? Sorry if this is really easy to do and I am just being dumb.

Also sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this in.

by homescreen you mean desktop?

after you download the launcher file you can drag it to wherever you want

@‌Munaus I have downloaded it but it just opens Technic.

When I close it, it disappears and I cant find it in my downloads, start bar, or home screen (Yes I mean desktop)

the launcher file is where you would normally have files that you download from the internet

for me it is "C:\Users\Myname\Downloads

if the file isn't there (or if you are running Mac or Linux) then it is somewhere else. Find out where your computer places downloaded files.

That's where it should be because everything else I have downloaded from the internet is in there.

 

I've downloaded Technic again to see if it says the location but it doesn't seem to say. :/

are you using Firefox? There's an down-arrow on the upper right side that lights green during downloads. If you click on it it should take you to downloaded files
