Title: Tekket unable to increase past 1.5 GB of memory

Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4

OS: Windows 7, 64 bit (if that matters)

Java Version: 1.6.0_31

Description of Problem:

I downloaded Tekkit in its .Jar form as the .exe was not working for me. I then decided i wanted to use the BD texture pack with it. However, upon attempting to use said texture pack in game, Tekkit ran out of memory and I have been unable to solve this issue. I went to the options button underneath the login button on the launch screen, however, it only had three options: 536 MB, 1 GB, 1536 MB. As the texture pack requires you to set your memory to at least 2 GB to work with Tekkit, I have been unable to use it. I have searched and read many other threads of people having issues similar or, in one case, identical to this, however, either no answer was given or the methods of reaching said solution were too vague. I heard talk of going into the Tekkit config file and manually changing the memory; unfortunately, i could not find said file. Help is highly appreciated! If this problem is caused by some dumb mistake i made, please correct me.

And btw, the config file is in your %appdata%/roaming/.techniclauncher, and should be called 'launcher.properties' replace the extension 'properties' with 'txt', go into it and switch the number directly after 'memory' with a value of megabytes NOT EXEEDING your computer's RAM. Replace the 'txt' in the file name with 'properties' again. Then, go into your 'tekkit' or any other modpack you're likely to use's folder (In '.techniclauncher') and do the same with the 'launcher.properties' there. DO NOT PLAY A MODPACK WHERE YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO-This will undo the original launcher.properties modification. I hope this helps those who can't do the solution above. For example, those with 32 bit machines.
