I've discovered something very interresting... That there was no server.log, created one but still don't work...

I've been trying to restart my computer, that didn't work too.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

It seem to work for first though when I closed it and then trying to open it again and the same error pops out...

What I did:

1: Download Tekkit zip and put it into a folder

2: Run Tekkit.jar and wait till every file is created.

3: Close Tekkit.jar using Joblist

4: Move everything from the clean folder to your Java folder Java ---> jre6 ---> bin ( MADE BACKUP ) and put everything there.

5: Run the launcher whit this

java -Xmx1G -Xms512M -jar Tekkit.jar nogui

pause

Was running fine...

Then help me to direct the launcher to it.

Been searching and searching and didn't find anything...

Ok, first a few questions.

Are you trying to run the Tekkit server or the launcher?

Open a command prompt and run "java -version" what happens?

What was the error when trying to run tekkit before you copied it into the java directory?

1: Tekkit Launcher ( Server )

2: Don't understand that one... Windows control panel or what?

3: I was getting this: ' Java ' Was not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

1: Ok there is no Tekkit launcher (Server), either you downloaded the launcher which is for the client or the Server which would be in "Tekkit_Server_2.0.zip"

2: Don't worry about this

3: Ok to fix that go to http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/essential/environment/paths.html the path you want to set during this process is the same as the location you put the server in. You don't need to do the Classpath section

Ive' been trying that whit the PATH thingy but It's seems that I can't get it.

Any way you are available to set the PATH if I give you the right info?

Windows 7:

1:From the desktop, right click the Computer icon.

2:Choose Properties from the context menu.

3:Click the Advanced system settings link.

4:Click Environment Variables. In the section System Variables, find the PATH environment variable and select it. 5:Click Edit. If the PATH environment variable does not exist, click New.

6:In the Edit System Variable (or New System Variable) window, specify the value of the PATH environment 7:variable. Click OK. Close all remaining windows by clicking OK.

I am stuck on 5 and 6. Don't really get those...

Edit: Sorry for this messy paste...

Edit2: Anyway, I am off for today. Hope you can be here tomorrow. Thanks for the help you provided so far.

What the unholy hell is going on in this thread? I am legit confused. What does this have to do with the launcher? Why are there server folders in javas? What is going on?!

We are talking about the Tekkit server launcher bat ( AKA Tekkit_Server 2.0 ) file not working correctly.

Edit: If I put Tekkit_Server 2.0 in my folder on the desktop and run the server I get this

' Java ' Was not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Only way to run it it's placing the files in the Java folder wich isn't a good way...

:'(

We are not really talking about the "Tekkit server launcher bat". Kirkok doesn't have the java PATH set up on their system correctly. I foolishly linked them to instructions on how to fix it.

Kirkok: I'm not sure what could be confusing about part 5... you click edit. in part 6 you need to add to the end of the text that pops up when you click edit a ';' followed by the location of your java bin folder which will be something like C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin. Don't copy paste this, find your own.

The only confused I am is how you can be having so many problems with running the server. Listen to havocx42, he's good people and knows what he is doing.

Edit: I really don't get it... Everything is working fine ( Normal Minecraft, Client launcher ) but not

Tekkit server ( I am speaking of the bat file )
