I am making a custom modpack for a small server, because most people on the server don't have the best graphics. I thought it was be a good idea to have the default graphic setting to be more friendly to less powerful computers. Such as set number of chunk to render to 8 and graphics to be fast, etc.

I don't plan on locking the graphic settings, just have the defaults changed.

Is there a way on how to do this?

I'm not near to a pc atm but look at the options.txt file in any minecraft instance. It should have all the options you need. Take note that including that file in your modpack will result in overwriting any user made changes when updating to a newer modpack version.

There is, just go into minecraft and change the settings to what you want. Then, go to the directory of the modpack or vanilla minecraft and get the options file, and when you pack your modpack, just add the options file into it also.
