Description of Problem:

When I want to play on version 1.1 and I am download minecraft.jar it write Update fail. I know this version is old but i like it. Please help

Version 1.1 of what? Hopefully not Technic. First, I'd say you should go in your roaming folder, back up your TP's and worlds and completely delete /techniclauncher/technicssp folder. Then, try reinstalling the version you want.

yes the version 1.1 Technic.I tried all before I wrote of this problem. I tried to reinstall , redownload launcher... this "Update fail" is written me only when I´m installing 1.1 version.

Each Technic version works only on one MC version. For example, Technic 7.2 only works on MC 1.2.5, not MC 1.1. But the launcher is supposed to automatically download the good MC version according to the Technic version.

Right. It seems that Minecraft 1.1 on the launcher is giving people problems, because Im trying to load Tekkit 2.1.0 and I get the same error.

I am so sad I like the version 6.0.7 1.1 Technic And I wont update to the 1.2.5 version of Technic I thing that problemis in the launcher not in my PC beacuse I do all and nothing work :/

It sounds like Alltren is having the exact same issue I am. As their English is a wee bit off though, allow me to explain more clearly.

My laptop is a piece of shit. Without Optifine I can't Minecraft, and even with it my framerate is, like, 25-30 on average. Works for me though. I deal.

I was playing Technic 6.0.7 just fine for ages, then when 7.2.6 came out I jumped right on that. However, I think maybe the updates to base Minecraft and added stuff (that I don't want to turn off because it's cool added stuff) in Technic caused my average framerate to be about 15-20 or so, which is on the wrong side of intolerable. So I decided to simply stick with 6.0.7 for the time being, as it's still plenty awesome. Sadly, if I try to install it I get 'Update Failed!' once the download of minecraft.jar gets to 99-100%. I've even tried a completely fresh start with both Minecraft and the Technic Launcher, doing everything exactly by the book. No dice.

I suspect it's something to do with the launcher only being able to downgrade Minecraft to 1.1 from 1.2.5 for Technic 6.0.7, which it can't do when the current version of Minecraft is now 1.3.1. I don't know how it all works though. Tis just a suspicion, =X

I even tried installing Technic 7.2.6 to downgrade Minecraft from 1.3.1 to 1.2.5, then taking the downgraded minecraft.jar from .techniclauncher/technicssp/bin, doing a fresh start of the Technic Launcher, then placing said JAR into the currently empty .techniclauncher/technicssp/bin in the hopes that the launcher would find that and be able to downgrade it further to 1.1. Harebrained scheme, and it didn't work, D:

Is there a way to resolve this issue or am I doomed to wait until I can afford a computer that isn't made of cheese and ass and can handle Technic 7.2.6?

Hello, I have new problem, when minecraft updated to 1.4.2, there is some bug or something happening, i launch techniclauncher, then press on tekkit,yogbox or other games, it drops at minecraft.jar 99/100% update failed... Can i get some help please?
