Hot air balloons mod and tekkit

Been trying to get hot air balloons mod installed on my private tekkit server (3.1.2). It seems to load up fine, and works in single player without a hitch.. however when i create a balloon and try to place it in smp it is invisible. It crafts fine, and there is an invisible somethign where i placed the balloon but i cannot see it or interact with it other then to push it around. Anyone got this working or know what might be causing this? Have seen other tekkit servers with this mod so not sure what i am doing wrong.

I use the mod on my server too, don't have any problems.
