xXD00MKAISERXx Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 So when I log into my world I see a strange grid forming around my blocks. The grid also forms around flowers. The grid also makes the water look like a lot of blocks. Please tell me how to disable this strange grid. Also I have found the natural textures option and I have disabled and enabled that but it doesn't change anything.
Torezu Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 It's something in Video Options...anti-aliasing or mipmapping. Turn both off, and set mipmap type to Nearest, and it should go away.

I wasn't able to find anti-aliasing, i did find mipmap and it was turned off. I turned it back on but nothing changed so I turned it back off. Also my mipmap type was set to Nearest by default, I changed it any nothing happened. Any other suggestions?
Torezu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Yeah, I'm stumped, then. It could be that your graphics card is instituting something on its own that doesn't agree with Minecraft's rendering system. Has it always been this way, or did it start after you updated or something? Because the next thing I'd suggest would be to get OptiFine Standard and install that.

Well it started when I updated Minecraft and the TechnicLauncher. I will go ahead and install that program and see what happens.
xXD00MKAISERXx Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 The optifine standard helped me alot. It added Anti-Aliasing to the list so that I could turn it on to get rid of the lines. I would recommend that that mod is added to the TechnicLauncher.

Every time I put the Optifine Standard Files in my Tekkit.jar, and delete META-INF and start my game up it says Minecraft is corrupted. So then I log back in and it just re downloads the Tekkit.jar, any suggestions on how to fix this?
Torezu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 You want it in .techniclauncher\tekkit\bin\modpack.jar, tekkit.jar is for your server.
xXD00MKAISERXx Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 You want it in .techniclauncher\tekkit\bin\modpack.jar, tekkit.jar is for your server. I put all the .class folders into modpack.jar and when I logged in and started the game, I got "The Minecraft Installation is Corrupted, The Minecraft Installation Has been cleaned, login and try again." So when I log in and start the game it puts me in vanilla minecraft. I deleted the Tekkit folder again and retried but I got the same problem. Any ideas to whats happening?
Torezu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Did you get the right version of OptiFine? It should be for MC 1.2.5 - it may have updated already, and you're trying to install the 1.3.1 files.

Meaning that it comes with the Technic Launcher. When I went into my game and looked in my video options Anti-Aliasing is still gone. The lines are also still there. Any more ideas?
Torezu Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Other than getting a version of OptiFine that includes AA instead, not really...
xXD00MKAISERXx Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Other than getting a version of OptiFine that includes AA instead, not really... I'll go ahead and downgrade by one 1.2.5 version. This is getting to be very strange. Im starting to think that the owner took out AA for that specific update. On 1.3.1 AA is back. Hopefully when Tekkit gets upgraded to 1.3.1 this problem will go away. I guess I'm gonna be on my own now. If you have any more ideas just make a post. Thanks for all the help :D
TopAce6 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 turn off AA manually in your graphics card control panel.
