Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 12GB

Java Version: 1.7.0_05-b06

Antivirus Program: Microsoft Security Essentials

Description of Problem:

When I launch the Technic Launcher the logo pops up and just stays there. It doesn't crash and the only way to get rid of it is to end Java in taskmanager.

Someone really needs to reprogram this launcher, I keep thinking some idiot is using Spoutcraft to play Technic/Tekkit.

According to this error log.

You seem to be having trouble with java x64 and then java x32.

Reinstall java(x64) or (x32)

I just reinstalled both Javax64 and Javax32 (I use both because I use a 32bit browser) and it still doesn't work... any ideas?

ive never known something so dodgy. theres obviously a serious problem with the launcher if hundreds of people are having the same problem. In your case try uninstalling a version of java so there is just one on your PC.

People not wanting to search for solutions themselves seems to be more of a problem.

ive searched for solutions ive asked here...every solution given didnt work. Ive disabled AV allowed launcher through firewall, changed BAT file nothing works

People not wanting to search for solutions themselves seems to be more of a problem.

There is an obvious problem with the launcher. It also worked perfectly for me too, but my friend can't get it to work at all. Exact same issue, exact same log output. Sits on the splash screen, nothing happens. Completely removed AV, completely disabled windows firewall. Went through different versions of java, tried running the jar file itself, used a bat file, etc. It's pretty clear there is an issue, and it would be more helpful if people would stop trying to insult the ones with the issues and either don't respond if you don't have any ideas, or think of something new because obviously the same advice over and over in every thread isn't going to magically work one time.

Oh I know what you mean, there are a lot of people posting about problems that are easy to fix if they read the sticky. But it seems that a lot of that hate gets directed towards people with legitimate problems too. I wasn't targeting you directly, by the way, if you felt that I was.

The official minecraft launcher works perfectly by the way. It's just technic launcher. It's a really odd problem, read my thread if you want to see what I mean.

If the launcher was bugged then wouldn't we all have the problem?

If it works ok for you and me doesn't that suggest that the issue is with the pc's of those who's isn't working?

It really could be anything. It's easy to say 'delete your technic folder and completely uninstall java and install the correct (x86 or x64) updated version' as that does solve alot of problems but how many people actually do this, or do it correctly.

I've only been using this forum for a few weeks and have found myself getting sick of seeing posts saying 'OMGZ won't works help! ' from people who haven't been bothered to read the common q&a.

I apologise if you think I was snappy, but it's much more satisfying to find solutions for yourself.

I'd be curious to know if this happens with the vanilla minecraft client too, or is it just the technic launcher?

As a matter of fact, I did use the q&a and it didn't help me solve my problem... aren't people suppost to post their problem if they can't solve it using that?

Oh I know what you mean, there are a lot of people posting about problems that are easy to fix if they read the sticky. But it seems that a lot of that hate gets directed towards people with legitimate problems too. I wasn't targeting you directly, by the way, if you felt that I was.

The official minecraft launcher works perfectly by the way. It's just technic launcher. It's a really odd problem, read my thread if you want to see what I mean.

Yeah, the official MC launcher works just fine so I can't imagine it being a java issue... strange.

Oh I wasn't talking about you either, sorry. I know the Q&A doesn't help with this problem, my friend has the exact same issue and nothing is fixing it. Nobody seems to know what is causing it, and at this point I feel like it's something the developers have to take a look at themselves.

Lets hope that they look into it then, cause I'm not sure when my friends are going to take down their server...
