NEI COMMON PROBLEMS AND FIXES

[Cheap Shot]

People wont shut up about NEI so here are some common problems and fixes.

Problem: NEI bugs out when I type certain things! The gui vanishes or I get weird graphical bugs!

Solution: Go into your inventory and click "Item Subsets" Then mouse over "Vanilla". More catagories should pop up. Hover over "Blocks" then "Mob Spawners" should pop up. Right click Mob Spawners to disable them from showing up in NEI. Done!

ATTENTION. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS YOU COULD RUN INTO A TERRIBLE PROBLEM WHERE YOUR GUI IS VERY BROKEN. PLEASE DO THIS. The easiest way to fix this is to click wherever the NEI search bar was (it will probably be invisible at this point) and then try holding backspace or hitting enter. If this doesn't work you'll need to redownload.

Problem: NEI wont let me cheat!

Solution: Cheat mod is disabled by default to help the weaker willed players avoid cheating. You can re-enable it by going to->

Windows: AppData/Roaming/.techniclauncher/technicssp/config

Mac: Library/Application Support/.techniclauncher/technicssp/config

Make sure minecraft is closed or else this wont work.

Open "NEI.cfg".

Change->

"lock_recipe_mode=true"

To->

"lock_recipe_mode=false"

Then open the game, open your inventory, click "Options". Click "Recipe Mode" to change it to "Cheat Mode", and click "Extra Cheats: Disabled" to enable weather/time control and creative mode.
