Get Capes in Tekkit! [Tutorial]

So I searched the internet far and wide, and what do you know, there's no tutorials on how to install capes mod, even if you go to the mccapes website and take those two files and put them in your modpack.jar they won't work, why? Well because Forge doesn't agree with those ones, so here's how you do it. (Be sure to register on the mccapes website first, so you can select what cape you want, or even create your own like I did in Paint, and then crop it)

Requirements:

Winrar/Winzip/7-zip (Anyone of these)

1. Go to http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/758734-132131125everything-minecraft-capes-multiplayer-capescloakswwwmccapescomcape-gallery-over-125000-users/ and then scroll down to forge compatible, or if you have zombes modpack installed on your tekkit, select the zombes modpack and forge compatible version.

2. Download the single class file (yw.class)

3. Go into %appdata%

4. Click on Roaming

5. Go to .techniclauncher

6. Go to tekkit

7. Go to bin

8. Open modpack.jar (Or just modpack) with Winrar/Winzip/7-zip (One of those)

9. Drag your yw.class file into the jar

And there you go, launch minecraft and you too can have a cape.

If you want your friends to see your cape, just have them install that 1 simple class file as well.

Note: This is the only guide on how to do this on the internet.

All mods that would normally go into minecraft.jar now go into modpack.jar - this is known.

I'd be careful about report feature abuse. This was borderline.

There were never capes in Tekkit. Not sure where you got that idea. This post is really old and obviously out of date. Technic/Tekkit has been updated to use forge and there is no forge compatible download.
